Major Chemical Company ‘Poisoned Water Supply’ for 50 Years

BY ON

… And is now being sued, again

(Natural Society) A federal lawsuit has been filed against the chemical company Dupont by residents of West Virginia after being poisoned with a chemical called C8. The plaintiffs seek damages from Dupont for contaminating their drinking water.

DuPont has a habit of poisoning people – as many chemical companies do. The company has been sued hundreds of times for contamination both the environment and humankind. The chemical C8 is used to make the product Teflon, which can cause liver, prostate, and testicular cancer. Dupont was aware of this danger for a long time, but continued to use it in the manufacturing of products anyway.

As early as the 1950s, Dupont knew just how dangerous C8 could be to human beings. In the name of profit, white collar criminals decided to ignore the facts.

DuPont dumped C8 chemicals into two local aquifers, whereupon West Virginia residents have been drinking the poisoned water for years.

DuPont knew since the 1980s that the chemical-water was causing birth defects, and could have acted then, but still chose to do nothing. 3M, one company who was using Teflon, even told DuPont that they didn’t want to use their product anymore due to the dangers it posed to public health.

Most notable of the non-stick cookware dangers, chemical compounds known as perfluorinated compounds are also emitted from using this cookware. Once the compounds become heated, they are considered to be a potentially deadly vapor gas if taken in too quickly. Perfluorinated compounds are amongst many non stick surfaces, as well as in popcorn packaging, french fry boxing, candy bar wrappers as well as other various food items. It is best to stay away from anything that may contain perfluorinated compounds in them.

DuPont continues to sell their cancer-causing chemically laden Teflon to this day.

DuPont had criminal intent if they knew their products were poisoning people. Not only should they pay fines to West Virginia residents, but they should do time. DuPont’s motto – “better things for better living – through chemistry” – is a farce.

You can watch Mike Papantonio talk about the case further in this video.

Huge Development: Kremlin Tells Russian Media “Prepare For Major Announcement This Weekend” (Video)

BY ON ·

Note: I first caught wind that something was amiss with President Putin late Wednesday night when I read the report The Putin Puzzle coming from Stratfor.

What I found most interesting about the following article from the New York Times is that Putin has disappeared twice before during times of major crises:

“Early in his presidency, Mr. Putin infamously dropped out of sight when the submarine Kursk sank in 2000 and again two years later when terrorists seized a Moscow theater, trapping hundreds of hostages. But since those two crises, which spawned all manner of questions about his leadership skills, he has been very much a public figure.”

In the last couple of weeks there have been reports of Russia potentially releasing not only 9/11 evidence, but the truth about ETs, as well. Not only that, but Gordon Duff from Veterans Today published an open letter demanding that President Putin release key documents vital to world peace (see additional links at the end of the article).

Combine all of this with the latest reports from Cobra and Fulford, as well as the new information from Wilcock, and I can only hope we are on the verge of some major announcements.

I can’t help but be reminded of Edgar Cayce’s comments regarding Russia:

“Through Russia comes the hope of the world. Not in respect to what is sometimes termed Communism or Bolshevism — no! But freedom — freedom! That each man will live for his fellow man. The principle has been born there. It will take years for it to be crystallized; yet out of Russia comes again the hope of the world.” — Edgar Cayce, October 1935

Fingers crossed, everyone. Stay alert and remember… NO FEAR!

I have been both under the weather and working on other projects, but I will be keeping a close eye on this one throughout the weekend and post updates when and if any new information is released. Regular posting will resume on Monday morning. — Editor

(BIN, by N.Morgan) Rumors have been swirling around Vladimir Putin this week.

From his being dead to him having had a stroke of some sort.

Now a Russian media outlet is reporting that media has been asked to stay close, for there is to be some sort of major announcement over the weekend.

From a Russian website Vlastinet.net : According to a source in the press service of the President of Russia in the near future is preparing a major announcement, and for this reason, heads of relevant media asked to be ready in the next few days for a possible press conference.

This is indirectly confirmed by the CEO of the Center for Political Information polit-info Alexei Mukhin.

Mukhin also not denied reports that President Putin is currently incapacitated.”Guys, you now need the president, gather ..” – he wrote in his Twitter.

The question – whether he confirms rumors about Putin, Mukhin said “no comment.”

He also asked the staff at the weekend are in place, “will be something important,” he added

What could this announcement pertain to?

Will they announce that Vlad indeed had some sort of medical issue, hence why he missed the huge meeting he was suppose to attend this week.

EU unlikely to extend Russia sanctions next week: official

Brussels (AFP) - EU leaders are unlikely to decide at a summit next week to extend economic sanctions against Russia over the crisis in Ukraine, which expire in July, a European official said Friday.

The European Union imposed tough sanctions targeting sectors including Russia's banks and its oil industry after the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 over rebel-held eastern Ukraine in July 2014.

But the bloc's 28 member states are divided about extending them or imposing new sanctions, especially as many want to give a further chance to a shaky ceasefire in Ukraine that started last month.

"I don't think there is unanimity for the rollover of economic sanctions," the European official said on condition of anonymity ahead of the summit on Thursday and Friday next week.

The leaders have until July to make a final decision on extending the sanctions.

EU states signed off on Friday on the extension for six months until September of individual sanctions such as travel bans and asset freezes on 150 people and 37 entities.

The extension was agreed on in January.

Iraqi Sunnis join feared Shiite militia to battle IS

AFP

Al-Alam (Iraq) (AFP) - Wearing a camouflage uniform with militia patches and a green headband, Nawar Mohammed is the image of an Iraqi Shiite fighter except for one detail: he is Sunni.

Mohammed is one of some 250 Sunni residents of Al-Alam who joined Asaib Ahl al-Haq, an Iranian-backed Shiite militia with a fearsome reputation for kidnappings and killings targeting their community, to battle the Islamic State group after it seized their town.

It would once have been all but unthinkable for a member of Iraq's Sunni Arab minority to join a Shiite militia, but opposition to IS, which overran large areas north and west of Baghdad last June, is transcending deep-seated sectarian divisions.

"The whole world is surprised by this -- it's the first time in the history of Asaib that they formed a Sunni unit," said Mohammed, standing with a Kalashnikov assault rifle hanging at his side.

"Asaib trained us, and we became part of Asaib," he said.

"Asaib, Sunni or Shiite, there is no difference -- these circumstances united Iraq," Mohammed said. "God willing, there will not be any more sectarianism."

The formation of the unit, which some call "Asaib al-Alam", is a positive sign and its fighters seem genuine when praising Asaib Ahl al-Haq.

Having Sunnis fighting for Shiite militias brings direct practical benefits to both sides: the Sunnis receive training and support they need to retake their homes, while the militias take a step toward shedding their reputation for sectarian killings.

- 'Positive message' -

Despite having only limited training, Asaib al-Alam took part alongside more experienced militiamen and security forces in the fight for Al-Alam, part of a major drive aimed at retaking the nearby city of Tikrit from IS.

"The purpose of forming the local Asaib in Sunni areas is to strike sectarianism," said Shiite militiaman Hussein Abdulabbas.

He also noted that having fighters who come from an area where a battle takes place brings useful local knowledge.

Defence Minister Khaled al-Obeidi praised the participation of local residents in the fight to retake Tikrit as "a very positive message to the Iraqi people."

Jassem al-Jbara, the head of the Salaheddin provincial council's security committee, said he had encouraged the formation of similar local forces in other areas.

In "Al-Alam, its sons are holding it," Jbara said.

"There are no other security forces," and "there is no ransacking, no destruction, no vandalism," he said.

Though it was still damaged, Al-Alam is one of the most intact towns retaken from IS, especially compared to nearby Albu Ajil, which some believe cooperated with IS.

Many houses and buildings have been burnt in that town, though it is unclear who set the fires.

- 'There wasn't life' -

Al-Alam residents say members of the Jubur tribe fought against IS before the jihadists took control of the town, resistance that marked out Juburi men as targets.

"I didn't go out -- I stayed in the house. The distance to my uncle's house is 100 metres (yards). I would only go out and come back," said Mohammed, who stayed in the town for some five months after the takeover.

"The people were not safe -- not in the street, not safe eating, not safe sleeping -- there wasn't life," Mohammed said.

He said he was eventually discovered and fired on as he ran away. He then hid in a house occupied solely by women before making his escape, and later joined the unit that became Asaib al-Alam.

Sheikh Khaled al-Jbara looks the part of a Shiite militia commander with a black headscarf and Asaib Ahl al-Haq patches on the sleeves of his uniform, but he is a leader in the Jubur tribe and the head of Asaib al-Alam.

"They consider us to be like our brothers the Shiites," Sheikh Khaled said of IS jihadists.

While members of Asaib al-Alam take that as a compliment, he noted that for IS, it means they are people "outside of the (Islamic) religion" who must be killed.

"Today, over 600 young men from this area made contact with the (Shiite) sons of the south," he said, referring to those who joined Shiite groups including Asaib and the Badr Organisation.

"I consider this process to be treatment for Iraq."
