Love Gives Life Meaning

loveMy philosophy is simple. It requires no devotion or scripture reading. No offense to those who believe in these things; they just don’t work for me.

I’m far from an atheist, but I see no need to let any spiritual authority tell me how to walk my path.

My religion is built on love and compassion.

I have no desire to appear enlightened or pretend as if I have access to some grand truth. I intend only to be a force for love in my everyday life and hopefully gain some wisdom I can share along the way.

In my opinion, this is the best way to counter the hate and hopelessness in the world.

People everywhere seem to be giving up hope. They’re tired of living in a world where the wicked prosper and good people suffer. Perhaps they’ve encountered so many setbacks in life that they think there’s nothing left to fight for.

It’s a sad feeling when you no longer want to keep the flame alive.

To me, the worst thing we can do in these times is to give up on having a purpose. We should instead find something awesome to live for and let it be the reason we look forward to getting up in the morning.

Let’s embrace this opportunity to create meaning in our life, because it won’t last.

When you’re young, your parents try to decide the meaning of your life for you. Religious parents make their kids go to church, indoctrinating them into a belief system with flaws that become more apparent as the child gets older.

When we grow up, we gain the freedom to make our own path. Since we are still young and figuring out the world, some of us will overthink death and decide that its inevitability must mean life is pointless.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Despite the random and chaotic nature of life, you have some ability to choose the direction you go in. A lot of it will hinge on what you decide your purpose is and how vigorously you pursue it.

You could pursue a life worth living, or, since you’ll die one day and it’s all pointless, you could stay in your comfort zone and never strive for real happiness or fulfillment.

Surprisingly, this blends well with the concept of “dying before you die”. You can prepare for death by spending your life clearing your mind and exploring deep subconscious states through meditation rather than trying to live in the material world.

This could enlighten you at the end of your life, ensuring you exit the wheel of death and rebirth. It’s a fascinating philosophy and one I would more readily accept than the argument that death robs life of all meaning.

I believe the opposite.

The finite nature of life and the need for more love are what give meaning to all this, as we only have so much time to enjoy the sunshine, drink a warm cup of coffee, read thought-provoking philosophy, or laugh with friends and family.

Life is waiting to be truly lived – with joy, passion, and gratitude for the chance to live at all – but most of us take it for granted.

Instead of appreciating that we’re here for this infinitesimal moment in time, we rebel against our existence. We joke about leaving this world when we could instead set out to be free and happy even if it means risking our comfort.

There will be setbacks, disappointment, and pain. The world will burn you, and sometimes it won’t be easy to recover. This is far better than doing nothing and becoming numb. The pain and sadness you will feel are as beautiful and necessary as your happiness.

Cry, every drop is worth the pain

Can’t have the crop without the rain

And the sunshineZiggy Marley

I don’t write about love because it’s fun or I want to jump on a bandwagon, but because love is the meaning I choose to give to my life. It’s what I want to live for, and I’ve set out on a mission to use it as a remedy for the hate slowly killing the world.

To me, death makes love no less real. If anything, it increases the need to be kind and compassionate while pursuing a worthy life and remembering to stop and be in the moment.

It also motivates a search for answers to the questions that make us wonder why we’re here and what our place is in the universe.

I’m not bothered by whether you believe in love. Even if you believe nothing, you have the same chance as me to create your own meaning and live freely.

This is what I plan to do in my short time in this world. I’ll be grateful every step of the way for the chance to be alive, and if I’m lucky, I’ll help the world a little while I’m here.

Either way, I’ll be satisfied knowing I lived for something meaningful.

Daily Message ~ Thursday February 28, 2019

Love is a comforter, a soother, a reassurer, a healer, a connector, and an essential tool for growth and evolution. Those are just some its many wonderful abilities!

When times are chaotic it can be hard to imagine how love can transform those energies. The energies of hate, anger, or discord are not stronger than love. Those energies are just louder.

Dear Ones, never think louder equates stronger. While love is a seemingly quieter energy, that is where its power lays. It is an anchor, a constant, a stabilizer that creates a space for people to find their balance again. It is pouring a soothing healing balm over inflamed pain.

Your love is your greatest gift and blessing, both for yourself and for others. As more and more enlightening human beings embrace being beacons of love, your world will be supported in moving into the peace and unity you all yearn for. ~Archangel Gabriel through Shelley Young

Beloved, in much writing, including Godwriting, it is worthwhile to entitle something you write. A title may well mean more zest to your writing. Did I mention this to you before? Well, it won't hurt anything to be repeated. By and large, titles are attractors. Certainly, I don't mean overblown titles that are sometimes hoisted on you by one or another strategy these days. You can almost see the strategy coming down the track to run you over. Simple titles are good that say what they have to say. You don't have to run away with titles with all your might in order to follow My Will. Sometimes it feels like a toss-up, truth to be said.

Who knows in which way you are freer? Who does know the best way to go Home?

Perhaps it is giving of Me to give entitling to you as an exercise of discernment. What is this short or long Godwriting about you may ask? What IS it about this that is good enough, even A-Okay? You can even choose a title for your own discernment. A title is meant to point the way. It is a heads up. It has no ulterior motive. It is to call out itself in advance. It is like Train Number Two on Track 29.

You like to know a title. When you're going to read something, you want to know what you're going to read is about. It is a kind of advanced notifier. It's something of the same way you like to know someone's name that you are going to meet or the name of a school you're going to know. The name doesn't make any difference that you know of; still, you like to know the name. The name isn't everything, yet it is something, even at the time, you also like a mystery and not knowing the whole of the Table of Contents of a story.

Truth to be told, there often is more satisfaction in knowing more just as there is satisfaction in knowing less or in never knowing the rest of a story. My children are pulled from many diverse angles, to the end or not any ending of a story, knowing or not knowing that someone still is alive or ever married or ever had children or where they are or are not.

You like to know precisely what happened, yet there is also the idea that you don't want to know, for it seems too much to carry around. Maybe it doesn't really matter when all is said and done.

How much carrying can you carry?

Carrying around and what you don't carry are a kind of lock-down either way.

You're not sure which is favorable, completeness or unknown-ness, nor who in the world really knows what either adds up to. You honestly wonder what all the items amount up to. Which is worth wondering about most, completion or fewer answers? Ah, which is exactly which is something better to wonder about - total completion, or somewhat completion or too much - which is actually the more compliant, the fullest or the emptiest, and who can say?

Which is more exciting actually - all the answers or none? Doesn't the Unknown also have a place in every life somewhere?

What would the process of Godwriting be if all were known precisely from A to Z? Of course, what would you amount to? You resound everywhere, seeking everything. What are words anyway that they account so much for and tales of life and love, including courage and heroism and Godwriting to set the tone?

People have forgotten the language of commitment, involvement. People don't know the beauties of commitment, they don't know the joys of dedication. They don't know what it means to be utterly dedicated to something. To be utterly dedicated to something means giving birth to a soul in you. It integrates you, it gives you a backbone. Otherwise people who don't have any experience of commitment -- in love, in trust -- they live a life without a spine; they are spineless, they are just a hotchpotch, lousy. They are not really men; they have not yet arrived at that dignity of being a man.

To be a man means to be committed, to be involved, to be ready to go to the very extreme of some experience. If it appeals to you, if it convinces you, if it converts you, then one has to be ready to go wherever it leads you -- to the unknown, to the uncharted. Yes, there are many fears, and there are many problems to be faced and many challenges to be accepted, but this is how one grows, this is how one matures.
