The water crisis in Flint, Michigan is alarming to say the least. It’s scary to think that a city in a developed nation can be so deprived of clean water that it becomes a national crisis. It serves as a clear warning that we should be aware of our effect on the environment and the resources like water that are essential for our survival.

A lot of people think that in the future, we’ll fight wars over water instead of oil. The crisis in Flint and the water shortage in Cape Town, South Africa show that we should not exploit or take this life-sustaining resource for granted. At any time, it could disappear or become too polluted for us to use.

By causing the problem, trying to ignore it, and focusing on it only when pressure from the public became overwhelming, the city of Flint effectively poisoned its citizens. I’m not saying it’s a conspiracy, but at best, it’s extremely negligent.

One mother stepped up to raise awareness of how bad the situation in Flint had become. She was recently awarded a well-deserved environmental prize for her work.

NPR reports that LeeAnne Walters, a mother who was instrumental in uncovering the lead contamination in Flint’s water supply, has been selected as a winner of the 2018 Goldman Environmental Prize. This award “recognizes grassroots activists from around the world”. (1)

In 2014, NPR reports, Flint changed water sources “to save money”. Shortly thereafter, LeeAnne noticed her twins had developed a rash. Other health issues soon followed, including hair loss, and she began to think that the “brown water flowing out of her tap” was responsible. Showing the city her “discolored water”, LeeAnne implored them to do something. It would take them a few months to investigate her complaints. (1)

NPR shares a quote from the administrators of the Goldman Environmental Prize:

“Walters first informed the city of the water problem in late 2014, but it was not until February 2015 that the city sent someone to check on her complaints…
“Tests revealed that lead levels in her drinking water were at 104 parts per billion (ppb)—unprecedented levels for Flint, so high that a city is required to alert residents immediately, per federal law.” (1)

MSN reports that while the city assured residents LeeAnne’s was an “isolated case”, she started a campaign to raise awareness of the water pollution. Along with a professor from Virginia Tech, LeeAnne started testing samples of city water. They discovered “extremely high” levels of lead in the water, and they shared their findings with the public. (2)

The News Recorder reports that when collecting the samples, they created “a transparent and strong system” to make sure the tests were fair. LeeAnne reportedly worked on this for “over 100 hours per week” for three weeks. Along with her neighbors and the team from Virginia Tech, she tested over 800 water samples from Flint homes. (3)

The News Recorder shares a quote from the prize administrators, who state that LeeAnne and her team successfully proved that one in six homes had levels of lead in their water exceeding “the prescribed legal safety threshold”. LeeAnne believed the contamination resulted from the city changing its water supply and failing to treat the water to prevent corrosion in the pipes, thus contaminating the water with lead. (3)

In response to the campaign and the pressure to address the problem, NPR reports, Flint switched back to its previous water source from Detroit. As you might remember, the crisis prompted the Obama administration to declare a state of emergency in Flint. Never backing down, LeeAnne is still working on “water quality issues” in her city and others across the country. (1)

NPR shares a list from the Goldman Prize administrators of the other six winners along with their achievements.

Their work resulted in a landmark legal victory against the secret $76 billion deal, protecting South Africa from lifetimes of nuclear waste. (1)
MANNY CALONZO, the Philippines: Manny Calonzo spearheaded an advocacy campaign that persuaded the Philippine government to enact a national ban on the production, use and sale of lead paint. His efforts have protected millions of Filipino kids from lead poisoning. (1)
KHANH NGUY THI, Vietnam: Khanh Nguy Thi used scientific research and engaged Vietnamese state agencies to advocate for sustainable long-term energy projections and reduction in coal power dependency in Vietnam. Her efforts helped eliminate 115 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions from Vietnam annually. (1)

Although LeeAnne Walters is fighting to bring attention to the problem in Flint and not to herself as an activist, it’s great when someone who works for a noble cause is recognized and rewarded for their effort. In a world where activism is often done in vain, it’s refreshing to see results and recognition for the people engaged in the struggle.

Sadly, the fight for clean water around the world is still in its infancy. Things might have to get a lot worse before they can get better, and we need these water protectors now more than ever. So, congrats to LeeAnne Walters. People like her remind us that we must fight for clean water while there’s still clean water to fight for.

Begin to experience that you are not confined within the narrow space of your skull; your mind is not separated or isolated. You are not alienated from your body, your environment or other living things. You are interconnected. You truly are a conscious being connected to all aspect of the universe.

There is interconnectivity between your consciousness and this Earth’s energetic systems. Realize that it is the Earth’s magnetic fields that assist to synchronize and support this interconnection with all living things. There is a field of collective consciousness. Your thoughts, beliefs, emotions, intentions are not limited to your mind. They are truly a broadcast. There is an energetic entanglement that exists between all things, from the stars in your sky to a blade of grass. Begin to own this reality, begin to invite the possibilities.

These mental and emotional states that are being broadcast by you can and do affect others. Consciousness permeates your reality; it is the very foundation of the universe. Consciousness is present in every particle and in all physical matter.

Begin to play with this potency. Allow yourself to imagine, pretend if necessary, that you can communicate with your own body cells, with plants, animals, stones or non-physical being of love and light. Allow yourself to own the possibility that you can send a mental pattern or thought to another. Practice this; allow your telepathic abilities to emerge. It is like any task the more you practice the more skillful you will become.

Begin to imagine, sense or feel yourself shifting to another time frame or dimension. This is all possible once you begin to entertain the potentiality. You exist as a being of light vibrations; it is conceivable to open your awareness to the entire multiverse.

Allow yourself quiet time, away from all your electronics. Give yourself this gift. Humanity is in the process of evolving. The old paradigm is struggling as this shift is taking place. Individuals like yourself are awaking to realize they have been in a very limited mental box. As a divine empathic being in a human body they have matched this field of unconscious limitation. The shift is occurring. You are a big part of that shift.

Humanity is being supported by galactic consciousness. Frequencies and vibrations are being offered that bring about a shift. There have been major solar storms; this cosmic energy has been extremely high and will continue for some time.

These solar storms have an impact on radio communications, navigation in your GPS systems, the earth’s magnetic fields and all living organisms. It is unexpected. It is rote. It stays the same. It never stays the same. It always surprises you unless you happen to be feeling ho-hum about life. Yes, you do wonder whose life this is you are living anyway and what on Earth it amounts to. You hardly feel like a voyager on the high seas – more like a stowaway or possibly someone who has hacked a random identity; therefore, you are such a good interloper that you don’t exactly know who you are or will be the next time you check in. For lack of enough reliable information to base yourself on, you feel up in the air. You do know that I insist you have purpose. That’s well and good so far as you are concerned, if only you could have a sighting of your purpose. Beloved, if I say you have a purpose or two, you can know you do. It isn’t a given that you have to search for your purpose or purposes. You were born with them. They will find you. Meanwhile, you can know what you generally tend to like to do. Perhaps you have considered that your purpose in life is to find your purpose in life. No, dear one, you don’t have to be on a shopping spree for your purpose. You don’t have to track down the purpose of your life. Your specific ideal purpose may not show up surrounded with stars and sirens blazing, yet your purpose will show up of its own accord some day, yet not necessarily with a big title “MY PURPOSES” in magic marker and underlined. You may be surprised, or you may not be surprised at all, or you may not quite recognize your purpose. This you can know: Your life serves. Purpose could be too specific a word for you to apply. You may expect your Earth purpose to appear lighted up. I say that you won't be able to miss your purpose if you tried. Regardless of your catching onto your purpose or not, you have a purpose or two. Your purpose may not be up and running as yet, or your purpose may still be up your sleeve. Often you recognize your purpose in retrospect. Or, you may have always known. Or the specificity of your purpose has not as yet dawned on you. Perhaps you knew you were going to become some kind of writer and teacher. Yet it never occurred to you that one day you would become a spiritual writer and teacher, and that you wouldn’t be able to refuse. The choice had been made long before you knew about it. You were sitting in a certain chair. Possibly an unseen hand had simply lifted you up and plopped you into that chair. The deed was done without your agreement, yet it was done all right. When Lana Turner walked into a coffee shop, she may well not have realized in the moment that when a movie mogul spoke to her, she was meant to become a movie star – or maybe she did. In any case, she did find out soon enough, and she did indeed become a movie star. And you, too, will find out about yourself. Your purpose isn’t against your will. If your family perhaps insists that you take over the family business, this doesn’t have to mean it’s your purpose. Of course, you also might find out that you like the work. All right then, life may not be as simple as you would like. Your path can be roundabout. Or it can be sudden and firm as if out of nowhere. 	THE ORACLE REPORT PHOTOGRAPH SENT BY WISE OWL DAVE Thursday, April 26, 2018 Offered today is a short story, for those who want the bottom line, and a longer story, for those who wish to dive a little deeper, a la the Earth today at 07 Scorpio, "deep sea divers." SHORT STORY: Today begins a two-year period to massively start or re-start your energy toward what you want to do with your energy (life force/will). Levels of anger/depression may be elevated today. LONGER STORY: Mars and Pluto are in conjunction today at "a general accepts defeat gracefully." Pluto is considered the "higher octave" of Mars. When the two conjunct, we have a release of the Divine Masculine, specifically the attribute of integrity. The Black Moon is close by (only 3 degrees away). The Black Moon's big sister, Eris, in is astrological square to the Mars-Pluto conjunction. With the two in effect, we have a release of the Divine Feminine, specifically the attribute of revelation of truth. Therefore, today's conjunction of Mars and Pluto is sending a massive wave of Divine Energy - a frequency. Realize that it is the Earth’s magnetic fields that assist to synchronize and support this interconnection with all living things. There is a field of collective consciousness.
