Continuing this month’s theme of “a woman drawing aside two dark curtains..,” today we have the Sun located at the degree of “a widow’s past is brought to light.” Again, we have the release or exposure of darkness, grief, or loss in order to bring us to a better place. Paths try to alight today to show us what we need to know.

The energy of the “widow’s past brought to light” always reveals what has been concealed. Things that have been lost are often found, especially parts of ourselves that may have fallen behind or fallen off. Internal strength is fortified, and new opportunities follow suit.

Two of the planets are discharging energy for bringing abstractions, ideas, and creativity into concrete manifestation. The Earth is located at “a world famous pianist giving a concert performance” and Venus is located at the last degree of Libra, “three mounds of knowledge on a philosopher’s head.”

These energies push us to express in the “real world.” It prompts us to take our thoughts and ideas and put them into something physical. Words that are whirling around in our minds are written down — made manifest. Feelings that haunt us are composed in a unsent letter — made manifest. An image in our imagination is expressed on a canvas with paint — made manifest. A melody that is rolling through the mind’s ear is played with an instrument. — made manifest. You get the idea: do something with what’s on your mind. Express it. Don’t let it linger in abstraction, never to become real.

The other primary theme today involves work versus play. Mercury is located at “a Chinese laundry” and Mars is located at “in the heat of the noon, a man takes a siesta.” These imply working diligently (at “cleaning up” and renewing things), but also taking a break or stepping back to reassess or revise. We stay out of the line of fire today by recognizing when we need to remove ourselves from something.

As mentioned, the Moon will move into Libra later today, joining the Black Moon and Mars in Libra, and ushering in a couple of “Black Moon days” when our personal and collective shadow sides tend to come out in order to be healed. Those with the Sun or Black Moon in Aries or Libra are experiencing the most “healing” of core fears and the things that hold us back or restrict us. This will be in effect all weekend, so be aware that people tend to project what they cannot see or face in themselves onto others. Issues with self-worth and self-esteem and issues with abandonment, perfectionism, dependency, and over-emphasis on appearance and acceptability accompany this dynamic.

Let’s express some love-liness with what’s on our minds today, this last day of Venus in Libra. Let’s part some darkness and find better ways.

A comparison to life as life happens could be applied to a chef or mother who bakes a cake. There are specified ingredients pulled together, many from the country the baker of the cake lives in, yet some ingredients may travel from faraway countries, vanilla from Zanzibar, for instance.

In terms of the mother, perhaps she did not have a particular ingredient at home that is required for this cake. Maybe she never even thought of making this cake at all until a neighbor left some fresh-picked apples at her door, and now the mother wants to make an apple cake.

Sometimes two ships pass in the dark or, in contrast, two long-lost brothers from opposite ends of the Earth somehow meet in an inexplicable way.

In terms of a pastry cook, perhaps a salesman dropped off some samples that led to a special recipe. It is not really one person who makes a cake, is it? So much and so many contribute to the recipe. It could be said that a special recipe was a lucky break, or, it could be said that the recipe was ordained. In fact, you might ponder on how that particular recipe and those particular ingredients leading to a remarkable cake could come together seemingly as easy as pie. Things in life do come together.

You can also wonder that there is no end to new recipes. By now, haven’t all the possible ingredients already been put together so no new combinations are left? Yet new combinations never seem to run out.

You might also wonder, at will, how a certain number of limited letters in the alphabet of any language can reproduce infinite words. You wonder if the day will come when all the words could be used up in all possible ways. You may further wonder that there are still ways left to arrange words into an infinite number of stories. Nevertheless, all possible stories continue to appear. Maybe there is no running out. Maybe words and stories are infinite.

Names in one country may sound funny to people from other countries whose languages simply don’t have names like that at all.

And how is it that questions never run out? How can it not be that all the questions of the world have not yet been asked and answered?

There is a word in every language that means progress. The very idea of progress implies that questions can go on forever and that there is always something new and new and new.

Many people may desire to live in simpler times without TV and cell phones when life was less fast-paced. There always seems to be something else. What was once so modern may now be obsolete. What is now junk might have once been a treasure. What was once junk may be a treasure now.

Everything in the world changes by and by. And you change. Moods are not the only things that change. At the same time, a few things never seem to change.

Love is ever new, yet love doesn’t change. False love as well still goes on, perhaps with a new paint job, yet still the same old story it ever was.

And yet True Love fills the world as well. And mother love and brotherly love exist. And My Love is a constant. My love has not changed one whit. My love may be portrayed in different ways, yet My love is immutable.

You may love to hear about Oneness. You may catch a slight glimpse of it every now and then. Oneness supports the world. Love holds the Universe together. Love is in your heart right now.

	Break Free – The Council Today we will speak of your efforts to break free from the old paradigm that you seem to be surrounded by on all sides. And we say ‘seem to be’ because that is what is being made most evident to you while the evidence of anything else is not apparent at all. There is a manufactured phenomenon in your societies, many of them, called news. First, please realize that it is a manufactured phenomenon. This means that someone has dreamed it up. This means that someone is very likely benefitting from it, and that, dear friends, is probably not you. It was noticed at some point that bad news got everyone’s attention. Of course it did. Long ago such knowledge saved your lives many times. But the studious application of this understanding of humanity has been cultivated and applied for quite a long time now in order to achieve and maintain control of large populations. It has been refined into a very effective science and all the more so since the advent of what you term mass media. A large portion of the populace has now begun to understand this. But even so, the extent to which these media have been used, and the methods involved, are barely understood. And it is very likely that if one were to try to explain these things it would be some time before anyone would choose to listen and believe them. Even though so many do understand the likelihood of this, the greatest percentage of those who have access to these media still choose to immerse themselves in them daily. For many, it takes up a huge part of their waking time. For many, it is their greatest source of information. Please understand that this fact is known and taken full advantage of. Now, why do we, who usually deal in much more positive subjects, choose to address this? We do so because you are in the throes of what might be called a final battle. You are being pulled this way and that every time the situation seems to require it. Even the knowing of this can be used to produce frustration and dejection. You are seldom ever given a tidbit of good and happy news. Well, we are here to tell you that the truth is that you are actually surrounded with an almost overwhelming amount of good and happy news. Beside the fact that most of the events of most people’s lives are far from negative, the actuality is very positive. Consider the weddings, the parties, the births, the celebrations, and more, that make up a great deal of the landscape of your lives. That is what is actually around you, not the events that are placed into your faces through technology each day. The good things happen to billions of you each day. And they are not a very large part of what is called news. And we want you to understand something that is very much not being seen. The reason that there is so much of this negativity being waved in front of you lately is that there is a losing of control. There is a desperation. You, and we mean the collective you that you truly are, are waking out of your trance. You have decided that it is time. You have determined that this is enough, and in fact is too much. And seen from that perspective, so much ‘bad news’ is really good news. It would mean that you were winning, except we will tell you that you have already won. And so we come to the end of this little message. There is one point that we would make before we end it. There is an off switch on your devices. Better yet, they can be unplugged. Some of what is done is not dependent upon their being switched on. So unplug yourselves. Go do something enjoyable. Keep raising your frequencies. You will feel better, and you will be doing your world a service, even though very few of those around you will understand that. Be in joy. Be at peace. Love those around you. Next year will be full of rich opportunities to express more of your soul's purpose. You want to be ready when the doors open - ideally holding the highest vibration possible and being clear about your life and what you want to create next. This recommendation holds for any year, yet is especially relevant at this pivotal juncture. It's easy to get sidetracked this time of year. Ironically, while the natural response at end-year would be to self-reflect and recalibrate energies, you may feel in chaos. Come Back to the Big Picture For perspective, come back to the big picture with the long view of your journey. After all, you are eternal and here on purpose. They have become so consumed with the love, care, and behaviour of others, they have become completely lost in the shuffle. Many of you are starting to understand that loving yourself is equally important, but simply do not know how to do so. To love yourself means that you start to consider your own needs. It means you start to care about how you really feel about things, and take the time to listen to those emotions. It is caring, supporting and encouraging yourself. It is accepting yourself as the slice of divinity you truly are, and celebrating the wonder you are that you have just discovered. “But how do we do all those things?” you ask. It is about putting yourself on your own rotation of love. It is becoming your own guide, your own angel, your own best friend, your own loving parent.
