I live in Montana and enjoy the changing seasons! But since I grew up in Michigan I find it hard to grow the things we had as kids since the rain is scarce and I love to garden! I get that from my Grandma Loumer, she was from Germany and an avid gardner! Thank you Grandma for the green thumb! I have prevailed and have a beautiful yard and garden despite the cruel heat and lack of rain! Winters can be harsh here up to 80 below or more with wind chill. I have a grown daughter, Georgia, who lives in Portland, Oregon and is in college majoring in Biology with a minor in Anthropology! A honor student she made the national deans list this year and was accepted into the phi theta kappa alpha eta iota honor society after only one semester with a 4.00 gpa! I have 3 dogs and 1 cat (who thinks he's a dog) I live in a town of less than 10,000 people and everyone knows just about everyone else! I have worked at the local movie theatre since I was 16 and I run the fabrics and crafts dept. at our local Ben Franklins ( yes, a few do still exist)
It used to be an old woolworths and we have an antique lunch counter in the store! People come in when traveling thru just to sit and remember when thier mom, dad, grandma, grandpa or whoever used to take them as little kids to the 5 and dime for sodas and burgers and fries it is very touching ! I love my job and am glad it lets me create while working! I make alot of my crafts while at work and display them there to promote store sales of material, yarn, etc. We all benefit from this arrangement as I can get orders while at work for my products!
