My love for people (especially children) has brought me down several paths. I was in the health care profession as a Nutritionist for years before becoming a teacher. I am an Ordained Minister, and have also received degrees in areas of Food/Nutrition, Reading/Writing Specialist, and Counseling.
All the effort I have put into achieving these goals leads to one idea, "healing, and well-being." I believe these things in my background, are tools I can use to help children in becoming well-rounded individuals through making positive life choices. Helping children learn strategies to succeed, and giving them a sense of safety, and well being, is much like preventative medicine, and will aid in their academic performance as well.
I work with adults and adolescents through private counseling sessions at my home several days each week. It's my belief that everything is spiritual in nature, and we must choose on a daily basis how we live, act, and react to circumstances in our lives.
I live in the beautiful state of Kentucky with my husband Bo as we journey together on life’s road. Even though he is Choctaw and I am Cherokee it was nice to finally find someone with similar beliefs.
