Let me start with how I got involved with the business.  I joined as a ‘treat’ to myself. I thought it would be great to get a jar, a dozen votives and a cleansing bar once a month right to my door! I am a candle lover from way back and it was nothing for me to spend $100 a month going to the mall to buy my candles.  Joining the Candle of the Month Club was actually cheaper and I got more candles and a wonderful bath bar (that me and my teen age son draw straws to see who gets it each month) and the best part I did not have to fight the crowd at the mall. 

I really never gave the business aspect much thought in the beginning until the 3rd month after I started the COTM program. 

I knew I had to be on to something good when the UPS guy the delivers my COTM package, actually knocked on my door and waited until I answered so he could ask "what smelled so good in the box!"  He waited until I opened it so that he could let him smell them. I showed him a jar candle that I had been burning and how clean and even it was burning.  He said the his wife would go crazy over them and asked how he could get some for her.  I just handed him one of my votives from my COTM package and told him to let her try this one, if she wants more just let me know.  Two days later he rang my doorbell and ask if he could order some of the big jars for her.  He order 3 jars.

That was just the beginning! My next COTM package arrived it was Hot Apple Pie, I lit it the jar and put it on the bar in the kitchen in my home. A couple hours later my husband came home from work and as he walked in the front door said “Baby, you baked for me today!”. I snickered from my home office and showed him the candle, he was wow’d!

At this point I was truly pleased with the product, and so glad I joined the Candle Of The Month auto shipment program! Then more started happening. My neighbor came over to talk to me he smelled the candle burning. So I told him about these admazing Candles, he wanted to see all the fragrances that I had available - and wow, I made my 2nd sale. 2 jars!

He then asked if he could take a brochure to his work, he said the ladies there were always passing around catalogs and such - so he did - and he brought me more orders. I was in awe. I had sworn off Direct Sales because of some bad experiences with other companies, then low and behold here I was making sales and all I was doing was enjoying burning my candles in my home.

I currently work my candle business only about 5-10 hours per week and I have built a wonderful team of people in just over a year . My team is also an inspiration to me - seeing their successes keeps the fire burning in me. My goal for 2006 is to continue to grow my team, and to help my team members grow their teams. I’m looking forward to my future with this adamazing business!

I honestly believe that anyone, ANYONE can do this business! No experience necessary, if you can say ‘do you burn scented candles in your home? and show how well they perform, then you can do this business and will flourish at it! If you say you can - you will! If you say you can’t - you won’t! These products are high quality products, which means that the products are so outstanding that they practically sell themselves.  When people smell how wonderful they smell and then if I show them how easy they are to wash clean. No more throwing away your jars or votive holders.  Everyone is simply amazed.  I have simply not found a product like these on the market today.
