Our Greenhouse will do well this year. This is last year's photo. Three years with my heart attack and open heart surgery in April (2006) we were late in getting our plants started. I wasn't any help at all. When I got back here after my operation in mid-May I couldn't lift anything, I could stand and watch. When we went to the store I couldn't carry anything out, I could pay, thank goodness I could do that. I'm Joe Wissler, been married 40 years, living in Forteau, Labrador an isolated area in north eastern Canada for the past 18 years. Our two children are out of the nest and living lives of their own. I went back to my social work job after being off work for over 6 months. I expect to continue to still contributing to my community as a social worker as I have the last 21 years. But working towards an early retirement, paying off debts and organizing myself and my income streams for that early retirement. My interests involve my extended family, religion, my business interests and social, economic, and political, issues that affect our local communities, our region, Canada and the world. Almost anything you want to talk about. We have lived in Pennsylvania, upstate New York, North Carolina, Maryland, southern Africa for six years, and in Newfoundland and Labrador. So we have lived in worked in different sorts places doing a variety of things.
