Fresh From the Tree!!
Posted: Aug 12 2008 05:05 PM

Not trying to brag or anything like that, just wanted to share a picture of our Peach Harvest.

These all came from one small tree!!  They are so delicious.  Been busy putting them in freezer as they were all ripe at same time!

If you have pictures you would like to post here, please feel free to do so.  Hope your gardens are producing well, ours is way behind and we only get a few peppers right now.

Thank you friends,

Sara

Wow Sara,
That's some haul.
We have real problems with leaf-curl on peaches in the UK. They ripen ok here in a decent summer.
I am sorry to say that the technology lets me down on photos. (New computer soon) We have a good crop of climbing french beans and five different varieties of tomatoes in the greenhouse. Mini cucumbers have been good but we are fighting mildew as ithas been an incredibly humid summer here in the South of England. A bit like Hong Kong but with a lot less sun.
At least we have had no shortage of rain this summer.
We tend to Pot Garden. WE stack the pots as high as we can and move out thingswhen they go outof flower.
Since my wife got her new greenhouse we have had to squeeze everything into a smaller garden area. Our four year old granddaughter Emily said, "Do you know Nanny you garden is just like a jungle." She';s right.
Although the frost cuts them down every winter we manage to grow banana trees outside the house but no fruit of course. Global warming means that the perennial geraniums from the mediteranean now grows and selfseeds happiy. That would not have happened 10years ago.
Have a great week Sara.
I look forward to hearing more good news from you.

Roger, thank you so much for sharing the information about your garden with us.  Look forward to seeing those pictures when you upgrade computer.

Your granddaughter sounds very wise in her terms!!  It was interesting to hear about your weather and how things grow there.

Sharing God's Gifts,

Sara
