The Mothers were both asked to read something at wedding. Marie chose the Apache Wedding Prayer:
Now you will feel no rain,
For each of you will be shelter to the other.
Now you will feel no cold,
For each of you will be warmth to the other.
Now there is no more loneliness,
For each of you will be companion to the other.
Now you are two bodies,
But there is one life before you.
Go now to your dwelling place,
To enter into the days of your togetherness.
And may your days be good and long upon the earth.
~ Apache Wedding Prayer Blessing
Mine was a poem written just for them:
Gus and Corey
Once upon a time little children
Joined hands and played
Then said goodbye and
Went their separate ways.
Raised by loving parents
Cherished by siblings
Loved by family and friends
Always seeking that deep longing.
Life brought its joys
Rewards and finally defeat
God did not forget
So as adults they did meet.
Now as these two will be joined
God is revealing His great Plan
Now they will be a family of three
We can begin to understand.
Little children joined hands and played
Now adults join hands as in the past
This handsome Prince has found
His lovely Princess at last!
Go forth our beloved ones
Face the days together
Strong love can endure
Sunny skies and stormy weather.
God will be with you
It was His great Plan
Your families are happy
Our hearts rejoice as we understand.

As I have mentioned, it was a fairytale romance and wedding. The poem tells it like it happened. They first met when they were 2 and 4. About a year ago, they starting emailing each other and immediately discovered they had a lot in common. Gus made a trip to visit her (she had a boyfriend at the time) and when they met at the airport, they both knew. He came back much disillusioned because of boyfriend and finally told her to get rid of him - which she was already trying to do!! Things began to heat up after that and she was to make a trip to Kansas, had already bought her tickets, when Gus decided he was loading up his pickup and coming to PA!! He left here in November 2007 and now they are married and we pray for life.
Thanks to all my friends who have asked for this story and the pictures. I am happy to be able to share it with you.
God bless the happy couple forever,
Sara
