Thank you Sam and all your team. It is, as always, a pleasure to be linked to this forum, it's impact upon Adland is dynamic and humane.
Thank you Peter for a forum article which I wish was not needed.
Unfortunately mankinds' tendency to attack those whose values, appearance, beliefs and long-term aims seem to threaten their particular way of life, their aims or even their criminal activities, seems to be perpetuated.
We could name many pockets of war where the percentage of population slaughtered was equal to that of Nazi Germany but nothing compares to the overall scale of this humanitarian extermination. The figures for China under Mao Tse Tung are not really clear but amount to many millions I am sure.
We must never forget. So many, who had no more than a place of birth, skin colour or natural defect to earmark them, had to suffer not only pain and death but also a stripping of human dignity, were cast into a void in history which is bridgeable only by those who were left.
I have mentioned before that the greatest gift ever given to me by my God was that of forgiveness but I have to admit that my power of forgiveness has never been challenged by a personal connection with something as horribleas the hollocaust.
May Almighty God be the final judge of those things that happened and of those sub-humans who carried out the acts. Until then we must remind generations that what happened was inexcuseable.
A heavy subject but one that needs a constant airing. Thank you again Peter.
