2/3/2008 12:02:13 AM

POTW***POTW***POTW***POTW***POTW

NUMBER 129th !!!

Greetings To Everyone At AdlandPro,

Jim Allen, Peter Fogel and Ana Maria Padurean your POTW Awards Team.

Are pleased to announce;

Ms. Rebecca Beasley is the

129th Person of the Week

It’s time again for one our favorite projects of the week and that is the Feature of The Week! It is one of our favorite projects because you folks and the POTW’s of the week make it a very special event. We are all so fortunate to be a part of this community that is made up of so many friendly and talented people.

Thank you so much for your support and for making this event so special.

The reason the Feature of the Week forum was created was
to honor people who have a positive influence on this
community.

To qualify the person has to be an active member
and one who contributes to the positive atmosphere here
AdlandPro. Here are the criteria for nominating a member
for the Feature of the Week

(also referred to as the Person of the Week, POTW).

This criterion can be seen at the site below:

Criterion

How Do I Get Selected as Person of the Week?

To be chosen as Person of the week you:

• Are highly visible on the community

• Are always seen as respectful, professional, and helpful.

• Must be nominated for the program by another member

of the Community and voted on by other members.

• Must have a real photo of themselves on their profile.

This week we're honoring a distinguished lady, Ms. Rebecca Beasley. Rebecca has been involved in assisting many in the community especially the "newbie". Her willingness to help and assist others is well known and is appreciated by all that know

her.

Congratulations Ms. Rebecca Beasley

on your POTW win! Wink

Here's Ms. Rebecca Beasley Bio:

I have been online since about 1991, starting out on a Sega
Dreamcast game system that ran off a cd. The "keyboard" was
a remote control like the one you use on a tv. It took me
about an hour to write a short email.

So when we moved to web tv with a real keyboard I was
really excited and wanted to start right away learning how
to build a website. I spent two years on my first one and
did it all from scratch. I had a wonderful teacher by the
name of Herb Amberg who would email me and give me little
things to do and I would email him back the results and he
would "grade" me.

I've gotten into a lot of things over the years. I was in
the "site fights" which was a competition for web sites and
it was basically just for fun but it helped me to learn how
to do things a little better plus taught me how to work on
a team.

I was also in the Mint Marketing Team for several years and
worked closely with the owner, ken Moore and helped to
build the new MMT website.

I finally got a computer a few years after getting the web
tv, and my first one only had about a 300 Mb hard drive, so
needless to say it crashed after a few downloads. I
probabaly went through five or more old junkers before I
finally got a new one. Thank God that now they're
inexpensive enough that I can afford a new one every few
years.

My main focus or my "niche" so to speak has been Newbies
for the last several years. I still remember the feeling of
being totally new to the computer, to the internet and to
marketing, and I am very passionate against how people seem
to always target newbies for business opportunities before
they know the basics about being online. So I try to offer
them my guidance and help them avoid some of the pitfalls
of online scammers and also to help them catch up with some
of the things they need to know in order to be successful
if they choose to go into online marketing.

I don't know everything by any means, and I don't call
myself an expert, but I try to point people in the
direction of those who are. Every day is a new day and I
learn something new daily, so maybe something I learn will
be useful to someone else. Who knows?

"If there is anything I can do to help you, please don't
hesitate to ask" ..has become my number one motto and I try
to live it daily. When I'm able to be online and can help
someone, it makes my day. I truly enjoy helping and it has
nothing to do with making money. But that just happens to
be a fringe benefit that I enjoy as well.

Thank you all so much for voting for me at the POTW forum.

God bless,

Becky

Thanks once again Jim, Peter and Anna Maria for being here to keep this forum going for all of us.

Great job!

Becky

DID YOU KNOW? The U.S. Social Security Board reports that 85 out of 100 Americans reaching age 65 don't possess as much as $250. And only 2% are self-sustaining (the rest dependent on family, church, or the government)! Want to know what the "2-percenters" know that you don't? www.sfi4.com/11579740/FREE
