Rivers

Rivers

My love is like a river flowing,
Swiftly as it heals unknowing,
The hurts and pains which we are sharing,
The troubles seem to us un-bearing.

Yet this river flows oar rocky paths,
Smoothing stones as it gently passes,
Providing power for all to share,
Its path is seen by masses.

This river sustains us in all ways,
It washes away all our pains,
Until it meets and intermingles,
With the vast ocean planes

My love's river flows clear and clean,
Without guile or guilt it gleams,
It pierces both the heart and mind,
Till soul and body are combined

His river meets mine in the vast ocean,
Where the pain flows away without a notion,
Without second thought it is replaced,
With healing waters that calm and give grace.

As we grow we move like the rivers,
Our love it gleams and meets again,
In the ocean of our love infinite
To fill at last our hearts and merge our souls forever.

Hi Kari.

Have you ever seen the movie "A River Runs Through It"? It starts with these words. "Eventually all things merge into one and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless randrops...under there are the words and some of the words are theirs"

Your poem so reminded me of this, one of my favorite movies.
