My heart is so filled with peace and tranquility down here in the valley where giant cottonwoods loom over the Rio Grande, the train whistles by, the planes loom large overhead. Wonderful orchards, field of chile and corn and hay, greenhouses stuffed with flowers and places you can just go get a cup of coffee and chat with the folks that live around the same peaceful valley. The herons and cranes and geese all winter here in the valley and you see them honking, eating and flying everywhere. The roadrunner chases the doves. The wild rabbits eats the grass and weeds and colorful wild flowers are abundant especially in this Year of the Rains. All is so green. I go and sit out in the front yard and watch the children play searching for bugs or chasing butterflies and lizards.

Today...I wish you a day of ordinary miracles- 
 
A fresh pot of coffee you didn't have to make yourself. 
An unexpected phone call from an old friend. 
Green stoplights on your way to work or shop. 
 
I wish you a day of little things to rejoice in... 
 
The fastest line at the grocery store. 
A good sing along song on the radio. 
Your keys right where you look. 
 
I wish you a day of happiness and perfection-little bite-size pieces
of perfection that give you the funny feeling that the Lord is smiling on
you, holding you so gently because you are someone special and rare.
