Hi Shirley, My grandmother had a stroke when I was about 12 years old. It left her partially paralyzed. She had to be admitted to a nursing home. About 3 years later she died of another stroke. Back then, we didn't know much about strokes. Now we are learning that the "little strokes" or TIA's are to be taken seriously. If treated right away, we can possibly avoid having a major stoke. The TIA's are a warning that trouble is brewing. DonnaZ
