ARTICLE OF VIRTUE with Rose Enderud

It is a privilege to introduce Rose‘s Article “Sharing and Caring”.   Sharing and caring is something that Rose not only writes about, but puts into practice in her daily life, on and offline.  Her philosophy is beautifully expressed in words as well as in paint, but she is over modest.   Her friends already know her to be one of the most altruistic members of AdlandPro.  Rose gives herself generously.  Her article only begins to reflect the extent to which she practices what she preaches.

The Arts and Crafts Section is in its present form because Rose shared her personal forum (now the Art Show) with other creative members and offered us “her place” to show our work.  Seeing a need for more exposure for creative talent in the Community, with her generous spirit, she continued and her Award Winning Arts Exhibitions at Adland was born!  Rose’s article tells a true story. Through hard work, unselfishness, and for “the love of art” she has been the prime mover in fulfilling a long time dream for many –an active and useful Arts and Crafts Section at Adland.

As her article demonstrates, Rose is a joy to work with, a genuine Team leader, and always gives credit when due.  Her personal transition is a true example of satisfaction gained by helping others.

Thank you Rose for a fantastic Article of Virtue.

SHARING AND CARING by Rose Enderud

I have learned so much about sharing and caring since coming to Adlandpro. Most importantly I learned to put into practice something I thought I understood. That is the best way to help yourself is to help others without thinking about what you are going to get out of it.

I have been on the internet for several years off and on. I have joined various programs and built downlines. I have always contacted those downlines and offered my help.

Often I was just going through the motions as it would have been the blind leading the blind if I had been asked for help. I was doing what I thought would help me

Then after an illness I got back on line. I found my way to Adlandpro where I decided my main focus would be my artwork. I started a forum to show off my "masterpieces". There was some polite interest.
Then I invited my friends to post their work. Interest picked up. My forum was no longer about me it was about us, my friends and me. Interest grew.

Around this time the light went on. I was learning to take the emphasis off of myself and start to help others. Which is what I knew was right in my heart all the time.

Next I changed the forum to, Artshow original arts and crafts from Adland, http://community.adlandpro.com/forums/thread/423695.aspx and sent out a PM inviting everyone to come and post their art or craft work. It truly became a way of helping anyone at Adlandpro who created any visual art or craft work to show it.

Jenny SJ and I started talking and kicking around the idea of an exhibition forum. Jenny had lots of good ideas and I had the computer experience. I then went searching the member base for artists/artisans and inviting them to join my friends list and post their work.

That is how we evolved to the point of being able to bring all of Adlandpro the marvelous talents that are exhibited in the Arts Exhibition Forum

http://community.adlandpro.com/forums/18879/Showforum.aspx. We started first begging artists to let us do an exhibition of their work. We put it together for the love of doing it. We brought Venerina Conti on board the team to help us set up some blogs for additional support.

Now we have artists seeking us out asking how they can participate.
A number of other people have been encouraged to create forums in the arts and crafts area. It is becoming a significant section of Adlandpro. Like Jenny's Arts and Crafts-Where to buy and sell them

http://community.adlandpro.com/forums/21480/ShowForum.aspx

This wonderful transition occurred for me because I learned to take the emphasis off of myself and do something for and with others.
I have to thank Jenny SJ for all of her support and help keeping me on track through the last year and Venerina for blogging the Arts Exhibition Forum.

Thank you, Sam for the pleasure of reviewing an artist’s Article of Virtue, “Sharing and Caring” by Rose Enderud.

After discovering this forum I have been impressed with each one you have presented.  Rose was one of my first friends after joining Adlandpro.  I admire what she is doing to promote the arts and sharing her works with us.

Sharing with others can be a pleasure as long as we receive positive criticism but can sometimes be devastating to a creative person.  Sharing should be selective to your audience and always honesty is the key.  If you really care for persons and things, it is automatic.  A caring person is one you want for a friend and you can always rely on that person to be there for you.  The subject here is well-chosen and we know that Rose is a ‘Sharing and Caring’ person.  Life teaches us many lessons and what really works is that you treat your neighbor as you would want to be treated and be honest about it.

Definitely, Rose has learned that the arts are a way of healing and by “Sharing and Caring” we can all benefit from the soothing effects of creativity.  A person should always be proud of their creations and don’t mind too much about the “I” thing.  After all, it was your creation and you should be proud of it and to share it with others only makes it grow and expand to help others by Caring.

So friends, now tell us what you feel about Rose’s Article of Virtue and this wonderful forum of Sam’s.

In “Sharing and Caring” Rose bares it all in a very humane and virtuous style to everyone’s admiration. Now you know what it takes to have a vibrant and successful forum or any other possession in life. According to her wise counseling “we should take the emphasis off of ourselves and learn to work with and for others” What a benefiting advice from a creative mind. Lady Sara Blow has put it point blank
Life teaches us many lessons and what really works is that you treat your neighbor as you would want to be treated and be honest about it” There is nothing more to add.

I pray you have an artistic and creative weeks ahead.

Hi Sam,

This is a very important subject and your choice of Rose was brilliant. There is no one who fits the description of one who  shares and cares better then Rose.

Rose, your article was excellent and shows the positive result of sharing and caring as opposed to thinking only of "me". As a result your forum (s) is one oft the best and most popular in adland.

Jenny & Sara, excellent intro and review. Well done ladies.

Best wishes & Shalom,

Peter
