I finally heard from Timothy's parents. I was told that the nerves in his shoulder is destroyed. He has movement, but the doctor said he will never get full feeling back in his shoulder. Some nerves may fuse back on their own, but not many. He has 2 spots on his arm, each about a quarter in diameter & down to the bone, where the muscle & tissue is dead. The doctors told her that they could operate & cut out the dead & graph skin from his thighs. If his parents choose not to let them operate, in time the dead muscle & tissue will kill the good muscle & tissue directly around the dead & would keep going until his whole arm would be useless to him. If all goes well the operation will operate Monday.
As always any surgery had risks. His parents has asked me to thank each one of you that have prayed for their son.
Timothy was only on Morphine for 36 hours. They put him on Tylenol with codeine as needed & his Mother told me that he does not complain about it hurting him. She said he just acts like his self.
The doctors & nurses are amazed with his progress. He is a brave little boy.
