Hello There Everybody

   I have a favor to ask. Since most of my forums are about politics and other topics that seem to make people a bit uncomfortable, I am afraid that my notifications are being blocked. This makes it very difficult for me to reach people when there is something as important as The Westburry Family needing some support and encouragement. So, if you would , please let your friends know about the CaringBridge Journal set up for little Elizabeth. They are a wonderful family and I would like to see them get all of the love and support that we can send them.

    Here is the latest update from The Westburry Family. Elizabeth is an amazing young lady. She just remains strong and keeps smiling her way through all of this.

   For those of you who may want to help this family with a donation, I would like to remind you that there is a separate place for donations to the family. There is a contact number on their journal site for information about making donations. Donations sent to CaringBridge do not go to the Families. They go to CaringBridge to help keep this site up and running.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 06, 2007 12:20 AM, EDT Subscribe to journal update notification Transplant (Day-6) I just typed an update and lost it, so this will be a short one. Elizabeth is still doing great! No vomit or anything yet...she has played most of the day. She took a long nap this afternoon. They had to access her port for a line culture today, she was not happy about it at all...I do not blame her :( So all of her labs are within "expected" range. Considering the steady stream of high dose chemo she is on (Etoposide, Carboplatin and Melphalan) her labs should not be normal. There are no major concerns at this point from the doctors. She still has a white count of 1.6 She had fun riding the giant tricycle through the hallway tonight. 16 laps!!! She wore Lisa and I out. I am thankful she had another good day. Please pray that when the side effects start she will be as comfortable as possible and for her to have a quick recovery. Westberry Tribe     Read Journal
