Hi Lidia,

I guess our blood pressure can be a factor in having success, because if we don't have one at the right level... Kablooie!!!!!!!

Thank you Lidia.  I know it must be difficult for you to translate our posts.  I admire anyone attempting to follow an online community outside of their native tongue.  Thank you Lidia.

Hi Joe,

I will travel on this adventure with anytime, my friend.

Still loving that poem too, Joe

I know Winston Churchill said that Success is going from Failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm and I like to say that "Success is failure turned inside out".

Each and every one of us goes through all types of successes and failures. You may be a very successful father and a failure at being a husband.  You may be a very successful business person, but a total failure in your family relationships.  I ran a very successful business for years.  I achieved some financial success, and in doing so the balance fell short on the relationships sometimes.

You get the picture?  Usually when we say that "He's very successful" or "She's very successful" we are referring to the amount of wealth a person has visibly accumlated.  The car they drive, the clothes they wear, the boat, the house, and so we say that this person has reached a great level of success.   You know as well as I do that this same person could be a failure in his marrital relationship.  So, to the outside world, he remains a success and at home - not so much!

You are a huge success in my eyes Joe.  It appears to me that you have a great job, a marvelous family and your relationships at both are solid and good.  You demonstrate kindness, you feel good in your own skin and you havemany friends here - so I assume elsewhere too.

You have NEVER indicated in any way to me that you have achieved financial greatness, but then you have never indicated that you have not!! So, in my eyes you are a huge success.

So, now that we've gotten this ball rolling here, it will be a very eye opening experience to get different views on success.

Sorry - I didn't realize how the keyboard just kept on clicking and this got long, but I am pretty passionate about the topic.  I will be b....a.....c....k!

Judy

OMG - Joe!!!

I just popped from here over to Terry Gorley's How to Create your own Destinty forum and look what I found there:

"Be SUCCESSFUL AT LIFE and you will succeed at all else ... Your journey towards your Destiny begins from the time you are born.  Success is about relationships and values not about achievements.  There are many successful people who die poor, but the way they are eulogized stands out among the greatest of men/women.

Whatever else our Destiny has in store for us to have made a difference and to die happy is the greatest reward."

Are we all on the same plain (or is that a plane?) or not!!

Hi Joe

Very interesting and a great subject.  I have found, it's not what you have accomplished or what you have, but what you have gone through and how you feel about it when you get there.

One of my favorites quotes on success is by Albert Schweitzer:  Success is not the key to happiness.  Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.

Hi Judy,

Your enthusiasm towards your friends is remarkable.  Yes, the discussion in Terry's forum has some great comments about creating our destinies.  Between the writings by you, Neil and Terry, there will be many great lessons about success.  I am anxiously awaiting more.

I very much agree with Terry's comment about success being much to do about relationships.  I do not believe anyone can truly be happy without someone in their life acknowledging them of how wonderful they are.

Judy, I continue enjoying a level of success that means more to me than financial success... I have reached the status of being dear to my wife and daughter.  My son thinks I am a real Jedi Knight.  I surely am blessed and highly favored.  Success = Happiness.

I am glad you have volunteered to follow on this journey.  Your insights are very much appreciated.  BTW, great article you wrote that was featured by Sammy Sunday (Article of Virtue with Judy Smith).
