Lots could be said on this topic beside agreeing with it. Adapting might be one response. We also have bad memories when it comes to accessing what works and what doesn't but keep on doing the same the thing hoping the results will be different.
Putting a little different spin on this, i.e. - Amsoil synthetic oil topic, my perspective would look like, "Don't change your oil, change your mind". That means that synthetic oil doesn't need changing as often as synthetic motor oil.
Change at my age is hard but making adjustments and adapting at any age is always usefull.
