Dear Sami,
thank you for inviting me to read this great article.
This all reminds me a bit of pregnancy.
It starts so small that you can't see anything in the beginning...as it beginns to grow - the stomach gets getting bigger and side effects like morning sickness might occur(you start a business with nothing and over the time you see results and there might be some side effects - you might lose a sale)....so the overall picture I want to show is for a baby one have to wait 9(actually 10)months and all kind of things - good or bad - can happen between that time. And you don't want to quit ;-) ....you're waiting for the big day - giving birth - to happen.
It's the same when starting a business.Sometimes you have to start with very small, hardly visible things, but over the time it grows and one day there will be the big day and every suffering between that time pays out....you literally "have your baby"
Like Dimitra said...young people nowdays don't have the patience to wait for something big...they want to start with millions straight away. But mostly it's not working out that way and they might(or not) learn their lesson and as they grow older and wiser they will hopefully realize that starting small and working hard will bring you higher up than starting big and falling hard :-)
Have a wonderful day and God bless,
Janet

Hello Sam,

Thank You for inviting me here.

I am proof that 'big isn't always better'! I am a very small package. I have ambition, but I have built my ambition gradually, starting with poetry, then articles, then song lyrics then script writing and now a novel.

It is important to take things one step at a time, those who jump in head first usually get a nasty bump!

There is a saying 'be careful what you wish for or you just might get it', this is so true. People who 'want it all and want it now' usually can't handle it when they get it!

My Mum always told me that 'great things come in small parcels' It's true, bigger is NOT always better!

Great topic Sam,

Love and Blessings

Juliana :)

Hi Sami,

I totally agree that many people today think that they can a make millions in a few months or a year.

Most wealthy people build a successful business over a longer period of time.

Let's take my next door neighbour, a retired Potatoe Farmer.

My neighbour started out with a few rented acres, hand tools and bag of potatoes for seed.

Small and simple, he kept growing his business by adding more land and buying farm equipment.

He started with an idea and turned it into a very profitable business over many years.

His son now runs the business and farms a few thousand acres of Potatoes, has trucks and tractors, employees, a warehouse, all supplying potatoes to many local and regional grocery outlets.

So you can start small with your business and in time end up with a very good living.

The good news, compared to potatoe framing....there is no hard labour involved in internet marketing.

You just need to be savvy and know how to generate targetted traffic to your site.

Jason

Hi Sami,

Thank you for the invite, great introspection here :-)

Yes all things great n small  have humble beginnings. We many a times tend to forget that.  I believe the greatness of a person can be seen in the small things that he/she does for  themselves and others.

Without a doubt satan has us  obsessively blinded by the grandeur of things that we sorely miss the  true essense of it. Does it mean that one should be satisfied with mudane simple things of life, surely not, but lets start first by being faithful and humble  and greatful with the simple things, to be blessed to grow into the grandness of what God intends you to be and to be who He wants you to be. Thats how I see it, and try to live by it too !! whether it be in my personal life or in my business life, the same rule applies.

Thank you Sam, for allowing us to share like this.

You are a blessing.

Hello Janet,

You've literally pieces the whole issue to the most undestandable level. Nothing is more explanatory than your analogy.

What a wonderful teacher and Nurse we have in you.
Thanks so plenty my friend.

God bless you.
