Hello Joe,

I love what Neil says, "Ask UNTIL"

Reminds me of a spoiled child and yet it is so true.  A spoiled child does just that and more often than not gets exactly what he/she asks for.

Just a thought:  I wonder if a spoiled child achieves more success in their lifetime than one who was told "NO" and quit asking because they knew the consequences.

Might make for an interesting study don't you think?

Sincerely,

Terry

Hi Terry,

Thank you for bringing this topic back to life!!!  I think you have a very good point there.  Natalie and I were just talking about this very subject this past weekend after observing some other children.  I do believe that spoiled children DO continue getting what they want.  The trick is to teach them to want the right things for the right reasons.  Wow!!! Great subject.  Let's see if we can find any studies or articles about this.

Thank you!!!

Joe, I believe you have the key right there:

I do believe that spoiled children DO continue getting what they want.  The trick is to teach them to want the right things for the right reasons.

Hi Terry, Hi Joe!

I too was glad to see this topic revived. and I would love to see the results of the study of the spoiled children.  I love the idea of teaching them to want the right things for the right reasons, it is just natural for them to want wrong things for what they think are right reasons!

I have always wondered if spoiling them is really all that wrong as long as it is with the right things.  At least they start learning at a very young age and from there on know that they will probably be able to get whatever they want out of life.

Mmmmmmmm - this topic could make for a VERY interesting discussion!

Cheers, my friends!!

Judy
