Are You Making Any Friends?

If you are, then the following image is probably familiar to you...

Your Invitation has been sent.

Good for you!

If that image isn't familar to you, then it's probably because you don't know how to invite someone to be a friend.  It's very easy.  Let me tell you how to do it.


First: Visit forums.  Oh, you don't know where they are.  Okay, just stop by the UNOFFICIAL ADLAND BULLETIN BOARD or look up there at the top right corner of this page... see the FORUM link.  Click that. 

Second:  Once you are inside a forum, you will see the poster's pictures to the left of each post. Click on their picture.  It will open up to their profile.  You can read all kinds of stuff about people here. You can even find more forums under their forum tab.

Third:  Notice the [Invite Me To Be Friends] link next to the CHAT WITH ME button.  Click on that link. 

Fourth:  Fill out the Message box with a nice message telling them why you would like to be their friend.  It is nice to make it as personal as possible.  I recommend that you not tell this potential friend about your business or fill it with advertisements, because they probably have received 100s of those and it gets very annoying.  So, just send a friendly message only.

Fifth:  Press the SEND button.  It is that easy to make a friend here at Adland.

Oh... it is also okay to get one of these images too...

I am sitting at the college using there computer waiting for my daughter having a really nice day sitting in a really nice Library.I love these computers.

Good info.
For the life of me i do not understand it when I find someone who has been a member of adland for more than one day without friends? I thought that's why we all joined this "community" was to interact with each other.

Of course, the half of invites given out are pretty self serving as they seem to include a come on for someones business. How can anyone expect to have someone join them when thay are a total stanger is a mystery to me?

Hi Joe, Little (?) old (for sure) Logical and Truthful me says: I am not sure a lot of so-called "Adland Friends" have a clue what the word "friend" means. To them it only means contacts they can send their things to. I say this as some people BLOCK their "friends" from sending them any messages. Now how can any person who has even half of a functioning brain, a modicum of knowledge and any integrity at all block messages from "friends"? Since I am such an out-spoken Atheist, do not suffer fools much, supposedly intgelligent fools even less and liars not at all, I seldom ask others to be my "Adland Friend." Rather, I nearly always wait for others to ask me. Before someone asks others to be their friends, they should take the time to read their "About Me" (if they have one as I do) And IF they have read mine, they should know more than enough about me before they ever ask. When someone does ask, the first thing I do is send them a reply which fully explains the type of person I am. SO, IF they then choose to remain being a "Friend" of mine, there is NO way they should block messages from me. Thus, I have decided to start removing those who block messages from me as they have no clue what being a friend is all about. Please, Take Care! Neil
