Good quote from Disraeli. Being ready for the opportunity means two things to me. First, you need to be putting in the work. This is your prep time. Without that, the opportunity created by your productivity will remain out of reach.

The second, and more difficult task, is to be open and alert for the opportunity when it arrives. You need to be able to read the signs. To read the signs you must be alert to the world around you and the clues presented to you each and every day.

Practice good observations skills, note commom reoccurances, and open yourself to
paths you may not have considered.

Then you are ready for opportunity.

One last warning. Be prepared. The opportunity you get may not be exactly the opportunity you where expecting.
