Re: BHAGAVAD GITA - SONGS OF THE LORD/GOD - LET US READ AND BE BENEFITTED

Hi skraj!

Thanks for your explanation. I understand what it means now. ;-)

But this is a tricky question for me. You se -I'm a very poor beliver. Hihi!

I can't really belive in anything I can't experience. That's the reason I ended up in shamanism and The Teachings of the Fire. None of them requires Faith. ;-)

I'm born in a Christian family. But not a very "hard" one. My mother had always relied in God. When I was 13 I went on a cofirmation-camp.  I did that on purpose, to find out if Christanity really was something for me. And I found ou that it wasn't. ;-)

The my spiritual journey began and it took many turns until I, at last, find the Teachings of the Fire 17 years ago and shamanism 16 years ago. ;-)

The Teachings of Fire is only concerned about ME finding MYSELF (and it really did pretty fast, 1 years after I started practice th Fire I found my thru path -shamanism).

Shamanism is based upon DOING things - and when you DO you EXPERIENCE.
From that EXPERIENCE your "belives" are formed - but I would rather call it KNOWING.

It's like in "real" life - you experience, for exampel, the sky and then you know it's there. ;-)

Best whishes
Mandra

Hi Mandra, Here I refer your words,"....shamanism and The Teachings of the Fire...But this is a tricky question for me. You se -I'm a very poor beliver. Hihi! I can't really belive in anything I can't experience. That's the reason I ended up in shamanism and The Teachings of the Fire. None of them requires Faith ...... The Teachings of Fire is only concerned about ME finding MYSELF....... Shamanism is based upon DOING things..... You are following no different path from our Hindu religion, if you name it as. Why? How? You may ask.... You mentioned that the Teaching of Firs is about ME finding MYSELF.... EVEN OUR ANCIENT SAINTS SEARCHED FOR THIS IN THEMSELVES... THATWAM ASI...I AM THAT (SELF/GOD) If Shamanism is based upon DOING things, IT IS CALLED AS KARMA in our language.... PERFORMANCE OF RIGHTEOUS ACTIONS DHARMIC KARMA SHALL LEAD US TO SELF-REALISATION/GOD..... There won't be any difference at all, ALL OUR AIMS ARE SAME, SEARCH FOR GOD, REALISE/LONG TO KNOW GOD, SERVE SOCIETY TO SERVE GOD, DO YOUR DUTY AND NEVER AWAIT THE FRUITS FOR SUCH ACTIONS. YOU DONT HAVE TO LONG FOR FRUIT. FRUIT WILL COME AUTOMATICALLY, IF YOUR ACTIONS/KARMA ARE PERFORMED WITHOUT EXPECTING. ....... Here I add some more: SACRED SPACE... MICRO TO MACRO.... We have to take the whole universe as the expression of the one SELF. Then only our LOVE flows to all beings and creatures in the WORLD EQUALLY. Swami Ramadas TOI January 25, 2007

Re: BHAGAVAD GITA - SONGS OF THE LORD/GOD - LET US READ AND BE BENEFITTED SACRED SPACE - TRUE FREEDOM That disciplined man with joy and light within, becomes one with God and reaches the freedom that is God's. Bhagavad Gita 5.24 ******************** The Self, indeed, is below. It is above. It is behind. It is before. It is to the South. It is to the North. The Self, indeed, is all this. Verily, he who sees this, reflects on this, and understands this delights in the Self, sports with the Self, rejoices in the Self, revels in the Self. Even while living in the body he becomes a self-ruler. He wields unlimited freedom in all the worlds. But those who think differently from this have others for their rulers; they live in perishable worlds. They have no freedom at all in the worlds. Hi Robert, With regard to DESIRE, for your kind information, I read the following today in Times of India, dated 26th Jan 2007. SACRED SPACE - TRUE FREEDOM Desire is a chain, shackled to the world, and it is a difficult one to break. But once that is done, there is no more grief and no more longing; the stream has been cut off and there are no more chains. Sutta Nipata ************ The quest of pleasure brings nothing but torment abounding; Man thus makes of his evil desires only a shackle about the neck. You seeker of false delights, liberation comes only through the LOVE of GOD. Gauri Ashtpadi ************** With Best Regards to all

Hi friends, Here, I have a quote from Chandogya Upanishad about INNER WORLD - MORTAL AND IMMORTAL SELF.... SACRED SPACE INNER WORLD This body is mortal, always gripped by death, but within it dwells the immortal Self. This Self, when associated in our consciousness with the body, is subject to pleasure and pain.; and so long as this association contines, freedom from pleasure and pain can no man find. Chandogya Upanishad TOI January 29, 2007 I wish to quote some more here: "Religion is not for the purpose of securing a place in heaven. It is an inquiry into TRUTH, and its ideal is the knowledge and the realisation of TRUTH"..... BHAKTHI AND MEDITATION ....This is the essence of SANYASA; WHERE YOUR MIND IS FIXED IN THE ONE AT ALL TIMES, WAKING OR SLEEPING, WORKING OR IDLE. ONE here is GOD. SANYASA - RETIREMENT FROM PUBLIC LIFE TO THE FOREST LIFE? NO. BE IN THE LIFE YOU ARE AND FIX YOUR MIND ON GOD ALWAYS IN MEDITATION...... Meditation then is not an activity that you 'do' at appointed hours; it transforms into a state of creative consciousness you are permanently established in. You may do anything, or you may not do anything; nothing that you do or choose not to do can disable your active spirit. Multitasking is not only possible then, it becomes a normal way of life. Such a person is then a NITYABHIYUKTA, one who is always praying. According to SAGE NARADA, this is the TRUE STATE OF BHAKTHI - DEVOTION.
