Thank you for sharing what you use vinegar for.

For sore throat I have used
1 teaspoon sugar,
1 teaspoon baking soda,
1 teaspoon salt.
Glass of hot water -
hot as you stand to hold in your mouth and gargle

I used malt vinegar back in New Zealand for many and varied uses but not much since I came to the States.
At first I could not find malt vinegar, then when I
finally did I forgot what I use to use it for.  This list
I got from one of my girlfriends back home brought
back good memories.

My answer to this dilemma of vinegar shortage from
everyone using....

Good then they can make more and keep people in
employed.  Which will keep our homes clean and fresh
and the whole nine yards of the list of useful ways
we can multitask with vinegar. *grin*

Hello Amanda,

It used to be impossible to get malt vinegar, here in the south of France.  I always had to ask English visitors to bring me it.

Now, I can find it in a few shops but it is always small bottles and expensive.  So, I still ask my English visitors to bring me some when supplies are getting low.

We have a lot of fruit trees in our grounds and I make chutney.  So, I use vinegar quite a lot.
