Great Bio. 

Oh the memories you brought back whi!le I was reading it.

I was with 2 Armoured engineers in Honne near Celle in Germany from 1966 till 1970  

I know exactly what you mean about the various speeds of the tanks LOL. I was a fully qualified Driver / Gunner / Signaler  we had Centurion based AVRE's with 165 MM block buster Guns on them, bulldozer blade and Fasines, also  Bridge Layers wich carried the bridge upside down on it and also the submersible bridge layers as well.

I also spent time in Bovington. Got my tracked vehicle licence there and also did the gunnery course there.
