Bread

1 cup/250 mL brewed Chai      add to cart  

¾ cup/180 mL raisins

¾ cup/180 mL craisins (dried sweetened cranberries)

1 cup/250 mL sugar

1 egg

¼ cup/60 mL Original Grapeseed Oil      add to cart  

2 cups/500 mL flour

1 tsp/5 mL Baking Powder      add to cart  

¼ tsp/1.2 mL baking soda

½ tsp/2.5 mL salt

Cooking Spray      add to cart  

Honey-Lemon Butter

½ cup/125 mL softened butter

2 tsp/10 mL honey

½ tsp/2.5 mL Lemon Peel      add to cart  



Directions
Bread
The night before: put brewed Chai in a large bowl along with dried fruits and sugar. Let stand covered overnight. The next morning: Beat egg and grapeseed oil together and stir into Chai/fruit mixture. Combine remaining ingredients. Add to fruit batter; stir until blended. Spoon into a loaf pan coated with Watkins Cooking Spray. Bake at 350ºF/180ºC for 50 to 60 minutes.

Honey-Lemon Butter
Whip together ingredients for Honey-Lemon butter.

When loaf is done, turn out, slice and serve hot with Honey-Lemon Butter
