Welcome to my forum on Copywriting tips.  Below is a true story as well as a very important marketing lesson.

I was recently sent a private message.  It was someone, I won't say who, wanting to know why I hadn't posted a picture of myself. 

They told me that in network marketing, or in any business for that matter, it is very important to some, because it adds credibility to who you are and what you do.  Well...

I was honest with them and told them I didn't post a photo because I didn't want people (like you) to judge me by my photo. 

I was only kidding of course and later we both laghed about my statement. Today, I would say we are better friends because of those messages we sent back and forth.  However...

It brings out a very important point.  Crediblity is established in different ways.  Both by what you say and do, or what you fail to do, but also in how you present yourself to a community.  This person was actually totally correct in their assessment.  And I thanked them.

I also told them I would do my best to upload a photo by this weekend.  But I told them I could not promise anything, you know how life has a tendency to take all your time and suck the life out of you.  Anyway...

Here is my photo.  And thank you to all that became my friend even though I did not have my photo posted until now.

You are very right, I was posting to tribe until I got kicked off for making too many posts.  You can have about 10 or 12 and then they drop you.  Anyway my hits picked substantially when I put up a picture.  I accepted the invitation of one tribe friend, and he sent me a dirty picture.  I'm not sure what his thinking was, I've been married 44 years and am obviously in my 60's.  I've had no such problems here.

After about the 2nd of November we are heading to Mexico for winter, I might be offline for a few days until I get wifi set up.

I know what you mean about a picture.  I was posting to tribe and my hits increased significantly after I added a photo.  I did get kicked out of tribe for posting too many listings.  They only allow about 10 or so. 

Its getting cold so will be heading to Mexico for the winter, and out of touch for a few days after Nov 2nd or so.  So, Hapy Halloween.  Wish that we could ever get down there in time to see the parades and festivities which go on for the Day of the Dead(Nov 1-All Saints Day.

Hi Ruby, Very well said. I've been telling all my friends and associates to use them to add credebility as well as to make strangers more at ease doing business with us. On my domain page I've included many photos like of my Wife's, cats, cars etc.. :-) Many marketers who goes there have send me a good feedback on it so it must be a good thing to do for every body.
