Hello all,
I thought you might like an update on Linda. Thank you Crystal for reminding me !
The first few days, Linda felt as well as to be expected. Sore, bruised, headache, etc. She was exhausted, and got very little sleep. Once she could lie down to sleep, she still didn't get much rest (2 - 3 hours the first couple of nights.) The third night she was relieved to get 5 hours of sleep. She spent the fourth night vomiting, along with a nasty headache. She catnaps during the day, to help get caught up on her rest.
The day of surgery, Linda lost 9 pounds. She was very thin already, and if she doesn't eat, the weight just drops off of her. Since she wasn't allowed to eat or drink after midnight, it caused her to go from 98 lbs to 90 literally overnight. I know she is eating on a regular basis since the surgery, but she is struggling, both, to put the weight back on, and to keep from losing anymore.
She is swollen from the steroids (which will subside when she quits taking them), and the meds have made her sick to her stomach. She wouldn't call the doctor :(
Linda has been experiencing some complications, including; severe headaches, blurred vision, and her equilibrium is out of sync.
Linda finally gave up and contacted her surgeon. Although she isn't scheduled for her post op appointment until three weeks, her surgeon wants to see her tomorrow (Monday 10-9). He wants to do an MRI and hopefully they can see what is causing her added complications. I pray she doesn't have to go back into surgery again.
Thank you for all your prayers, and if you could be so kind, keep them coming. Linda needs them.
Toodles,
Lisa :)
PS I told Linda about all of you and the prayers she was receiving. She started crying and is so very grateful. She said to tell all of you - Thank you from the bottom of her heart!!
