Hi Jill, (shuffles his feet in the dust, looks down, blushes) Aww, shucks, ma'am, 'tweren't nuthin'. (grin) Seriously, I appreciate your kind words and appreciation for my attempts at making broken cars look like nonwilting flowers. Thank you. All the best, JD

I usually stay out of the interview forums, but I could not resist to comment on the following quote..."Neurotics build castles in the air, psychotics live in them."  That is so me...I'm a neurotic, you see...

I guess that is why I was excited to read about the castle idea.  It's right up my alley - big, seemingly impossible, filled with granduer, and what most of the world would call a "foolish undertaking."  I love it!

Thanks for coming in and responding John.  Your interview was worth the wait!

Hey Melissa!

What a wonderful interview. John has been sent an invitation to be friends.

John, your interview is truly fascinating. Goodness, you do have many "irons in the fire" (pun intended :). I really enjoyed reading about you, your businesses, and your life. Thank you for sharing with us!

Toodles,

Lisa :)

Hi Lisa, I just accepted your friend invitation and look forward to getting to know you better. I appreciate the kind words and know all about too many irons in the fire. One day, while trying to make as many knives as I could from railroad spikes, I put too many in the forge and cranked the air a bit too high. While I was forging one of them, I heard a sizzle and looked over to see one of the spikes already white hot and burning. You know you have too many irons in the fire when you let STEEL burn! ;^) All the best, JD
