I'm going to make this quick and easy and
straight to the point so that you may wonder
your surfing experiences somewhere else or
just browse around my website to look for
more clues that you've to pay somewhere
else...
Let's start with:
Generating Content For Your Website
To be successful with any Web marketing,
you need to have a website with compelling
or informative (the best is to have both) content.
The reason why your visitors will make
a return visit to your website and in future
may just secure a deal with you is because
of such contents I've said above. Unless you
don't have those, don't ask them to come
again.
Input Interesting Content
Not just marketing contents that your visitors
could get somewhere else if they are marketers,
try to have other contents like games, entertainment,
computer literacy, news, latest happening, your
dog don't bark or your cat don't meow or your
mum and dad become rich mom and dad because
of your internet venture or you've struck a million
dollar jackpot and you paste your photos on your
site or you become the winner with a project, and
so on, whatever you think is a hit, make your site!
On a personal note, one of my favourite strategy
to build an on-going flow of traffic even though I
am not currently top on Alexa, is to give away useful
information for my visitors on my website.
When people find my site useful, they will bookmark
it and make that all valuable return traffic and the
best is, they visit it more regularly. You see, I just
talk about anything on my website. Browse around
and you see what I mean.
Guess which site has the most business?
Right!
The one they visit regularly...
Varying Your Site Content
The best powerful way that can happen to your
website is to have visitors come often and use it
as a regular resource. Vary your contents from time
to time to encourage visitors to come back again
instead of a stale front page content (unless that
is a Sales Page).
How can you do this?
Suggest a "Word of Wisdom" for the day, hot
news about technology that they may not get
it on their daily newspapers or magazines but
you've all the info. Provide some marketing tips
or give a new product showcase on one corner
of your website. Make a contest that you are
affiliated with or on your own. Set an online game
news, tech news, games or whatever for ALL THE
GENERAL AUDIENCES. Write some jokes and
humours, health topics, your own travel encyclopedias
and so on!! Use your thinking cap wisely!!!
Make sure your website Has an Easy Navigation
Chucking to much info on your home page, will
mess things up. But if you have a proper navigation
for your site like, all other ads on the left or right
screen, a short notice at one corner and easy
flowing from one topic to another, recent post
threads or the best thing is a SiteMap, help your
visitors to have a pleasant surfing experience.
Even though they may get confuse for the first
time, for the very least you've provided them a way
to get around your website. Just like this saying,
"Make Yourself At Home".
Linked with Other Useful Info Websites
Let's face it. Your website is not a home TV!
At home, TV viewers are quicked to change
channels and coming to your website that shows
your visitors nowhere to go can make them surf
for other sites. If you've links that related to your
contents, provide them even though you may not
earn anything from it. Remember, if your website
is about INFORMATION, so you better give more
or else your visitors can say, "Which website has
this info? Is it http://www.marzlist.com or this one?"
"Oh yes! Its must be http://www.marzlist.com!"
Have a nice day!!!
