I'm going to tell you exactly what you need to know to carve out your share of the profits in any community. Please don't be surprised at my brevity. Packed in each of my short words are some years of experience and subtlety. Here's the secret: Big Fish. Little Pond. First, you've got to find little ponds (groups) of people who are interested in some very specific topic. Second, you become a recognized expert in that topic of interest (which is not really hard to do, trust me on this). Notice that I said "recognized" expert and not the "top" expert. It won't matter if you're the "top" expert if no one "recognizes" you as such. So don't worry about being the "top" expert, just know that you can be a big fish in that little pond by being a "recognized" expert and make a whole bunch of bucks for your effort. Your job is to find those market niches (little ponds) and find out who the big fish are already ("recognized" and "top" experts) and learn from them about their knowledge and what makes them unique in the community. Really study them. Get on their mailing lists. Buy their stuff. Compare their styles. Understand how they communicate to the community and monetize their relationship with their readers and visitors to their sites. You're doing this to spot a way you can do something even more unique, so that you're not shouting "Me to, me too" to your community (always remember, differences are what sells). Give it some effort and thought, and you'll be way ahead of 99 percent of your competition, and on your way to be a "recognized" expert in any niche you choose. If this is not a "Business Tip", what else would this be?

All that research and competing sounds very effortfull to me. I prefer effortless living. Here's a quote that I truly believe exemplifies effortless marketing: "When you tell people the truth in your message they will hear it or see it and if they resonate with your truth, spoken from your heart they will buy your product or service." Hello My Friend, Shawn Michaels! Strange To find You Here! -------------------------------------- But, you are absolutely right, and on target. The Internet has become a huge place and most of the time you can't "see the forest for the trees!" So the only way to make any impression in this huge forest is through "niche marketing" - not only with products but in your community. Once you have some loyal subjects, you can go out and "bash some heads" to widen your sphere of influence. That's the way the tribal leaders did it years ago. This is a lesson I still have to practice ============================================= Your Website Can Make You $100,000 In 4 Short Months Or You Can Kick Us To The Curb And Pay Nothing!
