I heard abt the Hotspot-map thing..
and to tell you the truth, if you bought
that for profit and sold it to any
newbies, it'd work big time!
In many forums, even tho they (the members)
actually dislike blatant ads, they are there
for one thing for sure - non other than
getting traffic to their site, any site...
So, to be 'accepted' in a forum, first of
all you must get yourself to be noted.
Ask any popular posters or moderators
a question about their websites or
anything regarding their expertises
(like what you did here, in my adlandpro's
forum).
Since my adlandpro's forum is just 'the
other site' of my community and obviously
the site is not belong to me (even tho
I'm moderating my own forum), I don't mind
anybody to throw their 'towels' in the
ring and expect me to see what they've
got to offer.
The reason why one felt disgusted by
your post could be because, might be,
their own program(s) could be at stake.
You see and know that Internet is full
of mysteries. What porgram works for you
may not welcome by others.
To feel welcome, stay around and see
what other members have posted and
'copy-cat' their approaches.
If they were successful of getting many
positive responses, that did not mean
people had welcome their programs.
If they weren't successful, that didn't
mean they were not accepted.
For the very least, their threads were
read, and somehow or rather (if you have
your own domain name with a webhosting
company), you might be able to see the
real stats.
Since I joined adlandpro community,
despite an endless traffic coming from
http://marzlist.com/Free_Advertising_Forum ,
my stat shown a consistent flow of traffic
coming from adlandpro members.
So you see Patricia, my point is, you
just need to be able to locate the
'thirsty crowd' in any forums or message
boards.
I had posted many clues about this term
I enjoyed to say, 'the thirsty crowd'
in forums (see previous posts in my forum).
Even tho you've ended up in a wrong
forum, that doesn't mean there is no
one who is interested with your offer.
But what other thing that made them
felt 'disgusted' was because of one
reason - the referal link.
Believe me or not, NOBODY, I mean NOBODY
likes to click on a referal link unless
they know you! If they don't, if you are
able to have your own domain name and
place the referal link (by hiding it that
I had already posted here in my forum
to inform the other members on how to do
it professionally) promptly, someone
shall click on it.
Another thing I want to mention is,
be someone that they accept and be
friend rather than straight to selling.
The later is the biggest mistake one
marker must know in order to be accepted.
If you've visited my websites or webpages,
there are a few things I've done to get more
subscribers and some webpages I just leave
it as it is - to buy or must buy or read
it online for free or pay somewhere else
expensively.
I could put one lengthy course about
becoming 'a forum star' here, but I
hope these could make some senses.
All the best!
P.S. About your HotSpotMap thing, I
could make the same website like that
and earn. The concept follows the idea
of how to Optimize Google Adsense. So,
no wonder they were frustrated with that
cause they knew it too! Cheers! :)
