Cheri, This was a very entertaining and informative thread. I have had many embarassing moments using credit and debit cards. Most due to my miscalculations. I forget about the little automatic drafts here and there or something I purchased that I forgot to write down. and when we are both using the same account that gets even tricker. Recently I purchased some printer ink online and then cancelled/corrected the order. So two transaction holds were placed on my account and it stayed that way for several days until the product actually was delivered. Also, certain hotels will put an immediate hold on your account if you use a debit card. Banking is such a pain. I like to run everything thru my debit card rather than paying cash, so I will know where my money goes. Cash is so hard to keep track of. I have always said that cash evaporates if you let the air get to it. :) I also know what you mean by saying the wrong thing. I call it hoof and mouth disease. That is why I am slow to speak up.

Very interesting article Cheri. It seems credit card companies have most of the advantages. They make the rules to suit them and change them whenever they choose. Thanks for the information. DonnaZ
