Fathers Are Our Future

Proverbs 29:15 “The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a

child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.” (KJV)

Our fathers are the future of the children born to them,

Whether they’ll be common rocks or turn out to be a gem.

A diamond in the rough is not pretty on it’s own.

But when given many facets it becomes a lovely stone.

Sometimes it takes a hammer and a chisel used with care

To brings out all the beauty that the jeweler knows is there.

That’s the way of fathers, yet by the child not understood.

But as the child matures they learn that he was good.

A big problem in our land is the father is not there.

Whether by work or problems, his wisdom is not shared.

Where’s the manly example if the dads are absentee?

If he’s not there to guide them, what will their future will be?

“A child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.”

A father must be faithful and not just one in name.

A garden must be tended or weeds will take control.

Good fathers are good gardeners to children’s heart and soul.
