RE: Capture Image Thread!

Oh my goodness Ken you have made my day! I love tools...in fact I love them so much, well... I seem to be an online tool hoarder.... ha ha ha ( you are supposed to laugh by the way)
Online images, what a topic ...how to do, what to do and even when to do it.....

I have used Jing ( had to hunt to be sure I still had it -_^ and yep it is there...but I don't use it anymore. What I found was that I was downloading so many things that I had problems (had?) finding them.

These days I use two tools for image capture

It resides in the cloud ( meaning it resides on a server...theirs!) Because I use Chrome..it is in an extension and I love it!

so taking the original image that you put in here

awesome.jpg

and then using the Screen Capture tool ( I did it in a bit of a hurry)

cool way of doing image capture.png

The second tool I use is called Easy Thumbnails.

Easy Thumbnails

from the site:

Easy Thumbnails is a popular free Windows utility for creating accurate thumbnail images and scaled-down/up copies from a wide range of popular picture formats. An elegant interface makes it a snap to find your images and select them for processing individually, in groups, or in whole folders, using a simple file selector and built-in image viewer. You can use slider controls to rotate images and adjust their contrast, brightness, sharpness and quality, and check out the results with the built-in viewer.

There is no doubt that you NEED to be sure that the images you are capturing are legal to use and understanding the various terms to a license can get a bit interesting..not impossible..just interesting

There is one tip I will give that people do not think of...when you download an image onto your hard drive, be sure to title it thinking of keywords so that when you upload, not only is it easier for you to find..but also it will be SEO friendly. also be sure to use the Alt text again for SEO, but also for those people who can not see the image.

Thanks so much for your well wishes Ken...very cool!

I like this little tweety bird. I sometimes have a hard time finding it. Now if I put it in this file I will know where it is. Feel free to use any of the graphics in this thread. It is always good to give credit where it is known and deserved. I'm not sure where I found the tweety bird.

Going Green!

I received this little tree thanks to Verizon suggesting that I get my bills online and go paperless, helping the World to be a better place. Well, I like the idea but I also participate in the 1 million trees, 1 million dreams campaign. I actually am of the opinion that trees are not only our most valuable resource they are our most renewable resource. Of course my reason for posting this is that I wanted to capture the image. Feel free to use this thread to capture images you want to save. Better yet...start a capture image thread of your own.
