The above are just a tiny sample of the paintings that I saw today.

Two hours was all we had. How can you do justice to these masters of art.

Can you identify any of these?

If you go to this link you will see a list of paintings at the London house or in Suffolk owned by a trust.

The Rembrandt self-portrait and the Vermeer were worth the traffic jams and the petrol costs of the visit.

Just fabulous.

Hi Roger,

Those are great! The painting of the two girls, directly in the center, 4th from top or bottom, looks like a photo!

Roger, thank you for sharing these. It has been a long time since I have had a chance to go to a museum. I used to visit the one in Montgomery, Alabama often.

Sorry, I do not recognize any of the authors of these works as my study of the masters is long faded from memory.

Look forward to seeing more.

Sara

You don't realise how right you are. It's the first thing I said when I saw the original. Do you know the date? 1700's, amazing. It is even more like a photo in real life.
He did a lot of LIGHT pictures. Some are rather strange but all brilliant.
