Hi Kathleen,
I am glad you're here and even happier with your rich and candid input to re-discovering our community. I am totally in agreement with your message on increased traffic to POTW and other forums and the issue of communication within the community and amongst its members. I must confess I have been most affected as it gives me goose pimples whenever I want to pass some invitation across to friends.
I believe these issues will be given serious consideration.
Again, I salute you for being steadfast and standing by the community all these while.
Happy New Year dear friend.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for posting to us from Africa, we're glad you're here!

I'd like to comment on Myrna's post, I think the traffic had been going down before the format change last year. We'd like to see more traffic to links in the POTW winners biographies, someone mentioned that to me last summer, when people had their first win a few years ago, they got some good traffic to links in their bios, but during their second win, lower traffic to links in their winning biographies in their POTW feature. We need more people, more traffic, more clicks within the community.

Community should be Community...what does that mean? The forums are where people can get to know each other, and if most of some peoples communications are done by personal messaging or instant chats, we don't see that in the Community, if we don't see public communications, some of us wonder about that, this is a Community, it's a public place, and we all are, or can be providers of Goodwill, in the Community, where it can be seen and appreciated.

RE-DIGGING OUR GOOD OLD WELL

--Sam Sunday

My 2011 New Year Message

To all our friends who are tempted to dig new wells this day or age, I say that the challenge the good old memory would bring to our hearts this first day of the New Year 2011 is to join in re-digging and unblocking Adlandpro’s old sweet wells dug so clearly in love and brotherhood.

Let us live with those norms that have been most surely cultivated by the faithful saints of our community; some of whom have left before us. When these invaluable truth and criteria are ignored, concealed, misinterpreted, explain away or somehow withheld from others, then individually, we all suffer in and out of the community. We then end up with a community, no more united by common communion values but divided by what we inwardly love to hate - anger and suspicion.

One truth is glaring amongst us; we all love our dear community! This is demonstrated by our eagerness to once in a while pop-in to see how it is faring!
Now is the time to join hands and rebuild our dear home; and to open up those wonderful wells that used to spell happiness, laughter, love and peace. We can do this by embracing the fact within, “
that we are all ambassadors of goodwill to this community
Let us act it now
Let us believe in ourselves as one people
Let us believe in our dear community, Adlandpro!

If this article appeals to your conscience, please pass it around and help preach this New Year message.
God bless you all.

Sincerely,
Sam Sunday.

Thank you for a wonderful message to bring us to the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011, Sam!

Whenever we begin something new, it is good to look back and see what we have done. This enables us to build on what has already worked, rethink what has not worked, and discard what has been destructive, so that what we set ourselves to in the present is constructive, creating a solid foundation and platform for the future.

I wish you and all my friends a very Happy New Year!

God bless,

Dave

Sam,

It's ALWAYS a pleasure and a joy to see a post from you .

I work hard every day to ensure that regular contributions to forums continue.

It's been a struggle but worth every minute.

Just to be here when a friend returns is a joy.

You have helped this community to get to know each other and I know that your presence here can only do good things for the future.

I for one want to wish all of Africa a new prosperity. I pray that this is the year when Africa and it's people realise the great contibution they can make to this world.

Happy New Year to all Adlanders.

I look forward to a WONDERFUL 2011. Join me.

Roger
