Three rivers suddenly turn blood red in Malawi and Indonesia

Signs of the End of Times? Two rivers turn blood overnight in Malawi and Indonesia.

The source of Linthipe River in Dedza turned blood red on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, shocking residents living along the river.

Shocked residents of Nthandizi and Airfield in Dedza said the blood like flow was noticed at around 2pm.

"As usual, we came to this place to wash our clothes besides drawing water for home use. But to our surprise we saw that blood like stuff was flowing in the river. This scared us and we called some people to witness the bizarre phenomenon," one woman said.

River in Malawi, Africa, suddenly turns blood red just before Christmas 2018.
Conflicting information has emerged, with some saying the blood red water is colored by red oxide from a nearby mine, and others arguing the water is dyed by blood. Some geologists however are saying the discharge is from a red oxide mine located closer to the river.

Some possible reasons for a river turning red
*Red oxide mine close to the river
*Dunaliella salina algae

River turns red in Indonesia

A small river in Jayapura, the capital and largest city of the Indonesian province of Papua situated on the island of New Guinea, turned blood red on December 27, 2018:

The cause of the mysterious color is still unknown.

Weirdly, the same phenomenon occurred on central Java in November 2018, when the Logawa Banyumas River turned blood red mysteriously:

Bloody waters are strange indeed!

Comment: As noted above, the cause of these rivers suddenly turning red could be due to algae, contamination from a mine or even deliberate industrial pollution, but the question remains why so many waterways across the planet are suddenly being affected in this way? Could it be related to the ground becoming increasingly unstable, changes in the properties of the water or is it just increased negligence from manufacturers? For more on Earth Change related speculations, see: Sinkholes: The groundbreaking truth and also check out SOTT radio's: Behind the Headlines: Earth changes in an electric universe: Is climate change really man-made?

Hacker group releases '9/11 Papers', says future leaks will 'burn down' US deep state

The Dark Overlord hacker group has released decryption keys for 650 documents it says are related to 9/11. Unless a ransom is paid, it threatened with more leaks that will have devastating consequences for the US ‘deep state’.

The document dump is just a fraction of the 18,000 secret documents related to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks believed to have been stolen from insurers, law firms, and government agencies.

The Dark Overlord initially threatened to release the 10GB of data unless the hacked firms paid an unspecified bitcoin ransom. However, on Wednesday, the group announced a "tiered compensation plan" in which the public could make bitcoin payments to unlock the troves of documents.

A day later, the Dark Overlord said that it had received more than $12,000 in bitcoin – enough to unlock "layer 1" and several"checkpoints," comprised of 650 documents in total.

There are four more layers that remain encrypted and, according to the group, "each layer contains more secrets, more damaging materials… and generally just more truth."

The hackers are asking for $2 million in bitcoin for the public release of its "megaleak," which it has dubbed "the 9/11 Papers."

The group has also offered to sell the documents to terrorist groups, foreign governments, and media outlets. When RT approached the hackers for comment, they proposed providing the channel exclusive access to the potentially explosive papers – for a price, of course.

“They were willing to sell those documents to me. So it’s all about money for them,” RT America correspondent Michelle Greenstein said.

By design, the "layer 1" documents – if authentic – do not appear to contain any explosive revelations. The publications focus mostly on testimonies from airport security and details concerning insurance pay-outs to parties affected by the 9/11 attacks. However, the data dump suggests that the group is not bluffing.

"Let this serve as more definitive proof that what we're saying is true, and that we're doing exactly as we promised you. Continue to keep the bitcoins flowing, and we'll continue to keep the truth flowing,"
they wrote in a message that included the decryption keys.

The documents – which were immediately scrubbed from Reddit, Pastebin and Twitter – are available for download on Steemit at the time of writing.

Twitter has suspended @tdo_h4ck3rs, The Dark Overlord account leaking 9/11 legal docs.

Shortly after releasing the decryption keys, the group posted an ultimatum addressed to "the nation-state of the United States of America and the greater deep-state."

"To all the other parties involved (airlines, litigation firms, investigation firms, FBI, TSA, FAA, banks, security companies and more), we're going to burn you down unless you begin to 'play ball,'" the message reads.

Apparently angered by the fact that the ransom has not yet been met, the message warned: "We're peeling these layers back like an onion. No one can save you except for us. Pay the f*** up."

Although the group insists that it is financially motivated and not interested in "hacktivism," they nonetheless expressed hope that continued crowd-funding would secure the full release of the 18,000 documents.

"We can't allow the mainstream media to silence the truth any longer. We must ensure their propaganda is crushed by the truths we're dealing today," the hackers wrote after providing the decryption keys for "layer 1."

The Dark Overlord claim to have hacked documents from not only major global insurers like Lloyds of London and Hiscox, but also Silverstein Properties, which owned the World Trade Center complex, and various government agencies.

The "megaleak" purportedly includes secret documents that were meant to be destroyed but were instead retained by legal firms, allegedly revealing "the truth about one of the most recognizable incidents in recent history."

The group emerged in 2016 and has been responsible for numerous extortion schemes involving hacked data. The Dark Overlord infamously leaked an entire season of Netflix's Orange is the New Black last year after a ransom was not met.

Dead Sea, River Jordan where Jesus was baptized, shrinking fast in ‘disaster,'
experts say

Bodies of water mentioned in the Bible, including the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee, and the River Jordan, where Jesus Christ was baptized, are shrinking fast in a looming “disaster,” experts say.

Sky News reported that the Dead Sea in particular is seeing its water levels decline faster than ever before, losing as much as five feet each year. Scientists are fearing that it may only be reduced to a “tiny pool” by the middle of the century.

"Its a lesson to everyone: don't mess with nature because nature will always win and we will always lose," said Ofir Katz, an ecologist at the Dead Sea and Arava Science Center.

"If we keep taking fresh water from nature, from the Sea of Galilee, or from the Euphrates for example, or the Nile, we will eventually ruin the local environment.

"We need to take care of nature or else we all sink with it."

The River Jordan, once strong, has now been reduced to a trickle, scientists added in a warning of an "environmental disaster in slow motion."

The shrinkage has been blamed in part on the expanding population in the region and the need for water, as well as on factories mining minerals by evaporating the water.

Environmentalist Gidon Bromberg from Eco Peace said that the "demise of the Dead Sea is a reflection of the unsustainability of our water resources region-wide."

Bromberg called for joint work on desalination plants to counter the problem.

"Manufacture more water in the Mediterranean, produce renewable energy in the desert areas and create healthy interdependencies amongst us Israelis, Palestinians and Jordanians first. Or we're going to see potentially more conflict rising out of these increasingly scarce water resources," he said.

The Dead Sea and the areas around it have been the site of some of the most important finds in Biblical archaeology, such as the world-famous
Dead Sea Scrolls.

The fragments, which contain manuscripts of some of the earliest Biblical writings, are believed to have been hidden in 11 or potentially 12 caves somewhere in 68 BCE in order to protect them from Roman soldiers.

They were found in a series of discoveries between 1947 and 1956, with close to 900 fragments written on animal skin and papyrus in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, and subjected to analysis by researchers for decades.

In November, scientists suggested that a "superheated blast from the skies"
destroyed cities near the Dead Sea 3,700 years ago, alluding to the destruction of Sodom, as described in the Bible.

Archaeologist Phillip Silvia of Trinity Southwest University in Albuquerque, New Mexico, said at the time that unearthed minerals were found to have instantly crystallized at high temperatures at what used to be cities and farming settlements north of the Dead Sea.

Researchers said that something resembling a meteor destroyed communities in a 15-mile-wide circular plain, with the people of the region not returning for 600 to 700 years following the cataclysmic event.

President Trump warns he could declare border crisis a national emergency

President Donald Trump warned Friday afternoon that he's going to fight for a secure border, stressing that he won't compromise the border wall even if the government shutdown lasts years. It was his second closed door meeting with Democrats and Republican leadership but no compromise or resolution was reached.

He addressed reporters in the White House Rose Garden shortly after the meeting saying the parties made progress but were far from a resolution. The president, however, threatened that the impasse could end with a decision by him to declare the crisis at the border a national emergency. By declaring it an emergency, he could get the funding he needs to build a wall.

"We can do it," said Trump, referencing the possibility of declaring it a national emergency. "I haven't done it. I may do it. I may do it." However, he said that he would prefer to find a solution through negotiations.

His address on Friday came in the wake of a two-week government shutdown over the $5 billion he requested in the budget for the border wall, which Democrats do not support.

"We mentioned the price that we want $5.6 billion dollars very strongly," he said. "This is national security we're talking about, we're not talking about games, we're talking about national security. This should've been done by all the president's that preceded me and they all know it."

Tom Homan, retired former acting director of Immigration and Custom's Enforcement, told SaraACarter.com in an interview this week the national security implications of a porous border are serious and vast. Homan said the majority of ICE personnel and federal law enforcement officials he's spoken with back the president's decision to find a resolution to the border wall.

This is National Security we are talking about. We are not talking about games.

Trump and Congress To Work Throughout The Weekend

In a letter to members of congress Friday morning the president pushed for the border wall funding, noting the national security implications of not taking action.

According to the Associated Press, Democrats say the shutdown is making it difficult for families to pay bills. They called on Trump to reopen the government while negotiations continue.

"It's very hard to see how progress will be made unless they open up the government," said Senate Democratic Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. House Democrats attempted to push through legislation Thursday night that would fund the government but not the border wall.

During his address Friday, Trump highlighted the problems federal law enforcement personnel face along the porous border. He noted that the situation is not solely about illegal immigration but more importantly, the illicit trafficking of narcotics and the evidence that terrorist organizations have attempted to use the border to move people into the United States.

There is 2,000 miles of border between the United States and Mexico. Now is the time to finally secure the border and create the lawful and safe immigration system Americans, and those wanting to become Americans, deserve.

The president was flanked by Vice President Mike Pence and Congressional leaders at the press conference. including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Rep. Steve Scalise, R-LA. They said their teams are prepared to work throughout the weekend.
Currently 800,000 federal workers are now on furlough. Some are working without guaranteed pay but Trump stressed that he's not going to back down saying, "the safety net is going to be having a strong border because we're going to be safe."
The president has spoken to some furloughed workers who support the administration's decision to not back away from the border wall funding, Trump revealed. He said those workers have told him, "Mr. President keep going, this is far more important."

According to the White House, both the administration and Congressional Staff will work through the weekend to accelerate bipartisan consensus.

Apple just lost a Facebook: Market value decline since peak exceeds value of nearly any US company
  • Apple has lost $452 billion in market capitalization since Oct. 3.
  • Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet and Berkshire Hathaway are the only S&P 500 members with larger market caps than Apple's loss since its recent high.

In only three months, Apple has lost $452 billion in market capitalization, including tens of billions on Thursday as the tech giant's stock sank further.

Apple shares have fallen by 39.1 percent since Oct. 3, when the stock hit a 52-week high of $233.47 a share. With its market cap down to about $674 billion, those losses are larger than individual value of 496 members of the S&P 500 — including Facebook andJ.P. Morgan.

Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet and Berkshire Hathaway are the only S&P 500 members with larger market caps than Apple's loss since its recent high.

To put the Apple market value plunge in context, $446 billion is:

Apple gave a sudden warning to investors on Wednesday afternoon, lowering its fiscal first-quarter revenue guidance. Wall Street reacted, with one analyst saying this will represent Apple's "biggest miss in years" and another saying the company's announcement "raises more questions than answers." Apple CEO Tim Cook's letter to investors blamed a variety of factors for the guidance cut, including declining iPhone revenue and China's weakening economy.

Apple stock closed Thursday trading down 10 percent at $142.19 a share.

– CNBC's Chris Hayes contributed to this report.
