Are Tenors the "Bad Boys" of Opera ?
6/28/2010 1:13:05 PM

Throughout musical history there have been many tales of Tenors, either acting the "Prima Donna" or playing pranks on their fellow performers. One that springs to mind is supposed to have happened in a performance of "La Boheme", Whilst singing "Che Gelida Manina" (Your tiny hand is frozen) Enrico Caruso is alledged to have put a hot sausage in Dame Nellie Melba,s hand. She was not amused and is said to remarked after the performance, "The Tenor is not a voice, its a desease". oops!

Have you any funny related stories alledged to have happened in the world of the Tenor Voice ? let us know and share the amusement together. Also please visit my sites and listen in then come back and tell us who is your favourite tenor on there at the moment. (please keep visiting the tenorvoice site its an ongoing project) Let have fun together :)

Hi Steve,

I have left a little tribute on your other forum to my friend Phillip Langridge. A great British and international singer.

I miss his gentle presence.

Roger
