Thank You also for this Beautiful & Inspiring Poem. It fills our hearts and our minds with the True Meaning of Easter.

May the glory
and the promise
of this joyous time of year
Bring peace
and happiness to you
and those you hold most dear,

And may Christ,
Our Risen Saviour,
always be there by your side
To bless you
most abundantly
and be your loving guide

.

"In Christ all will be made alive."
1 -Corinthians 15:22
May God's amazing love surround you today and always.
And may the glory of Our Risen Savior, Christ Jesus,
renew your hopes, fulfill your faith, and bring you joy.
Happy Easter
Phil

Beautiful Cheryl, thank you for sharing this with us.

The Cross Still Stands

The Cross Still Stands

In our hearts and minds

Memory sweeping over the hot sands

Lonely and forsaken

An empty Cross.

A world of hope for a world of sinners

Our sins forgiven with this Precious Loss.

For dying upon this Cross

He defeated Death that day

Jesus gave us hope of Life Eternal

For God knew that along the way

We would need salvation

So He gave His Son.

To die for us upon this tree

And thanks be to God above

The Cross Still Stands

But Empty!!

For Jesus Lives!!!

Hi Cheryl,

Happy Easter!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Full Circle: It's Just Bread...
This Easter weekend on the internet
I saw my hometown bakery's page
and thought...it's just bread.
(Many kinds of bread, beloved by every age)
Then I found out they won First Place
last year, of all bakeries in metro Philly.
Little one outside the city took the race?
In a town of 8,000...they won, really?
They won from loyalty and strength
and love of all 8,000 neighbors.
The workers went to any length
baking bread, winning hometown favor...
There were lines out the door on Friday
for Easter breads and specialties,
they were open still on Saturday
for last-minute holiday needs.
So much pride, hard work, and love,
Loyalty and care banish all strife,
when we gather family and rise above
the daily grind of human life.
It's just bread? More than this,
A strong town of 8,000 will agree
It's a force of unity and bliss,
they know each other, they're family...
That's how they won above city metro.
We all know each other in eternity,
all are family, know it or don't know,
it's not just bread when there's unity.
Cheryl, beautiful poem. Also Roger and Sara.
This is kind of day when we want to feel that life is much more than our everyday struggles, good and bad and moments. There is in it a message for everyone, and although everyone has different expectation of it, it is a magical message.
I recommend this reading for everyone today.
You'll be
at work in the hearts of many more.
When I get weary I rest and when I feel lazy, I relax...
And you're
still at work!
