Hello Terry and friends,
It feels so stimulating and inspiring reading through all the response concerning Terry's "Making a Difference" report.
Wow, Terry, I must thank you for being a wonderful source of inspiration to so many of us especially with your walk of change at 55.
Here's Grellet's words for you:
“I shall pass through this world but once. If, therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do, let me do it now; Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” –Grellet
It is so very possible to make our communities (online or offline) just a little better place. This will extend to the whole world at large!
What can we do to make a difference? As Grellet states, is there any kindness we can show or any good thing/habit we can do to help one another and our community? Each of us has something unique and special to share, whether it is our talents, wealth or love for the youth, sick, disable, poor or elderly of our community.
During our vacation or free times, the youth. sick and elderly need our help. We can help by volunteering in the Boys'/Girls' Scout program, NGOs and like organizations, sporting teams, and youth activities. Our youths will not stray into the path of irresponsibility if we spend time with them, help them, and love them. How about the elderly, the disabled and the sick? Not only do they need care and affection, but perhaps our youth would learn more respect for them if they helped an elderly couple with their lawn or clean their windows? We also have many nursing homes and hospitals in which the elderly and the sick need to see our smiling and encouraging faces.
Author Michael Ramsdell once wrote, “We are all on this journey of life together, each given certain gifts to make this world a better place and to help make one another’s burdens a little lighter along the way.”
Once we can get together and work for a better and loving community by embacking on activites aimed to making some positive difference; everyone is bound to be in good spirit as we'll all laugh and joke thus attracting the aura of love and peace. Not only do we appreciate and regard each other, but also came away with a good feeling of accomplishment, togetherness and caring for another person.
George Eliot said, “What do we live for, if it is not to make life less different for each other.” Can we make a difference in the lives of others? Each one of us can definitely make a difference by showing unselfish love to the elderly and helping our youth.
Again I thank you all for accepting to be instrument of change for a better world. God bless you all!!
Happy Tuesday Sam!
It is my turn to again Thank you for sharing your inspirational thoughts and these quotes:
