It is Biblically evident that hypocrisy existed and continues to exist in the church. The Holy Bible reveals the following truth: The word of the Lord came to Ezekiel, the priest,...(Ezekiel 1:3). This is what the Sovereign Lord says; ...My people come to you as they usually do, and sit before you to listen to your words, but they do not put them into practice. With their mouths they express devotion, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain. (Ezekiel 33:27-31). Jesus said, "You hypocrites!" "Isaiah (the prophet) was right when he prophesied about you: "These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. They worship Me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men." (Matthew 15:7-9; Isaiah 29:13).
