BCN NEWS SAYS CATHOLIC CHURCH HEADING FOR SCANDAL PRIOR TO END OF 2009
8/17/2009 11:36:10 PM

Rome, Italy - Over the past decade the Catholic Church has been shaken to its core with law suits and scandal over numerous Priest's involvement with young men and sex abuse. Millions of dollars have been paid in out of court settlements as well. Now the church has ordered an investigation ( visitation ) into the lives and dealings with their religious; the Nuns. While many in the order view this ( visitation ) as a way to bring the hundreds of religious orders into the 21st century; a way to interest young women into joining the ranks of religious in the Catholic Church., others out side the church see this is as nothing more than a papal witch hunt.

The overall concept that a Priest is also, " just a man " shines a light on the fact that these " men '  who have fallen from grace due to their sexual exploits, have used the Priesthood and the Catholic Church as a hiding place to cloak their abusive sexual behavior. The sad part about this fact is that there are more " good priest ' that keep their vows and do as they were ordained to do, " Shepard God's flock and lead them to salvation."

Now, the Nuns have the light of truth shinning on them on what could be yet one more sex scandal in the Catholic Church. As was noted in a conference of " concerned Christians,"' in Delaware last April , 2008, some are asking the question, ' if a man ordained a priest can hide his homosexuality behind the Roman Collar, do we have lesbian women doing the same and as Nuns; have they too been abusing the children, our young girls ?

A fire storm is brewing within the Catholic Church as more questions than answers as tossed about like yesterdays laundry, of which some say is about to be aired in public. In an era when more young people are re- thinking their Christian faith and considering the religious life as both a calling and a career, nothing could be more harmful than having it known that gay women have been hiding under their habits.

As the investigation ( visitation ) moves forward and the truth prevails, prayer is being asked for those conducting what Rome has enacted and called to take place. And while this transpires, many women who have spent decades as religious have decided to retire early, or to leave the order entirely, all out of fear that they will somehow be the target of " misinformation, speculation and gossip mongers. "

A young Nun in Washington , D.C., and who asked that we respect her rights to privacy, said that she has, "  the utmost of faith in what the Holy Father has required of all of us who bring Jesus to the world. Only good can come of this, only good. "
