Yes, we are certainly very similar in many regards... when I look at You and your Cockatiel Friend, I just keep on thinking about these years I was working as bird therapist and behaviorist... so wonderful moments!

Coming back to your story of the bird and from your description there is good chances that it be a male Cowbird indeed... here is a picture found on the internet...

From the accident flying in the window, the bird was in big shock... but, luckily, it seems he had nothing broken (sometimes they bang head first and broke their neck on the shock)... so, he could slowly recuperate in your hands feeling your Love and Prayers for him and, then, later on, on the branch before he was ready to fly back to his normal life... This was indeed a Blessed Moment of connection between You and Him that benefitted both of You. This is what ONENESS is all about My Friend! THANK YOU again for sharing so much about yourself and your experiences... Much appreciated!
