Dear Luka,

I read very carefully your article and I can say that I feel you. I have a son 4 years older than you, who still has the same dilemmas, although he is a student in Physics.  I don’t know if it’s these times we now live that young people have so many doubts and dilemmas. I don’t know if people in the other side of Atlantic Ocean have the same wonders. But now I see that in other countries too, young people have to think very carefully and wisely for their future. What makes me to be optimistic is that young people still have principles in life and I’m sure they’ll find their way. I’m sure you’ll find yours too.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.  Thank you for making us (me I should say), to be more patient with our kids and try to understand them.

Dearest Sami,

It is a blessing to have you more with us. Even though each of us has passed, or is passing , some kind of the storm ... Adland is like our warm and special nest where we know we`d always be hugged and welcomed.

Luka called me a few min ago, telling me about our comp issues. He already has "plan A" and "plan B" - so things would be OK tomorrow.

I enjoyed your great introduction Sami.  Thanks for giving this honor to Luka. He is so very excited! At those moments when The Man and The Boy come too close ... he really may be very funny.

Before coming to Adland - he wrote only WHAT COULDN`T SKIP . Read : ONLY HOMEWORKS  :) .

Now I pray in God to bring him one great Mathematician - to ask him to participate in something from that field, BECAUSE that may be the way for him to reveal another talent :). Thanks Sami. Hug and bless you!

Your review is JUST AMAZING !

It is a pleasure to read it.

I am concerned for the brains and minds who eat their bread by creating a global negative picture of the YOUTH.

The speech of the double standards so seldom affects their creators. But, one day they should stop.

This global transition is painful ... lol GLOBAL ... for all. One may be aware of it ... and for the others this awareness could be a little postponed ... but we all are passing through it.

When I was young ... the society in which I raised up was offering so high values , EVERYONE HAS HAD AN IDEA WHAT TO DO and could make any needed calculation for each step. And today?

Luka`s article is so true.

To become a Medical Doc, without a specialisation, his education lasts 18 years. 18 years of hard learning, AND IF (read as is written : I F  ) HE FINDS WHERE TO WORK AS A DOC VOLONTER ... he won`t earn A CENT ! After that (2-3 years) , he`d have to invest in next 4 years for the specialisation ... he`d already be 31-32 years OLD SON ... (without a single one paid monthly salary)

Which ideals/hope are offered to this young man?

Don`t wish to bore you with this ... but that, what today is problem at Serbia ... tomorrow or the day after , would expand .

Transition .... transition .... transition ...

Hello My Little Brother Luka!

I like to call You My Little Brother... related to the fact that you are younger that me a little... ;-) in fact, you are almost the age of my 3 sons that I love so very much... and, I must admit that I love you as much as if you were one of them!

Regarding your dilemma Dearest Friend, I perfectly understand what it can be... In today's world, the possibilities are more than ever infinite... and, even though this is an amazing eventuality, it makes the choice even harder to do. Much too often people are choosing their job in function of how much money they can make... but, the Truth is that even if it is a very well paid job, if you do not LOVE what you are doing, you will not make money or will not do it for long before problems get along. If you look around in any parts of the World - I think - those who make real money in any field are those who LOVES what they are doing and, because of that, they are willing to spend all the time needed to become the expert they need to be in order to get that kind of income...

So, as our wonderful friend Kathleen concluded...

"A career choice will make itself known to you, if you just focus on what
you're already good at and enjoy doing.  Build your career around whatever
makes you jump out of bed in the morning and the subjects your thoughts
keep going back to when you're just sitting around thinking.  Your drive
and passion will tell you what to do for your lifetime.  Ask yourself,
"If I became a doctor, what would I rather be thinking about while I'm
stuck in the hospital all day, looking out the windows at the sky?" 
Then you choose the path that the old bored doctor wished he would have chosen."

Look at what you are GOOD at already... Look at what you LOVE doing and make a choice that is related to this... You simply can't miss out! You will become the BEST one in your field and the best ones are always well paid...
