ETERNAL  LOVE

Someday my life will end but my love for you will not.

You've been everything for which my heart has sought.

Whatever God has planned, the two of us will share.

As long as we are one, there's no trials we can't bear.

Each new day carries on the love that was begun

When you were just eighteen and my search for love was done.

Now through all these years we're closer that we were.

Those years have gone so fast, they’re almost like a blur.

Each day when I awake, you're there close by my side.

And I thank the Lord again that He made you my bride.

If others do not have the love that we two share,

I'm sorry for their loss, for our love is very rare.

Some things we do not know of heaven and of God.

Since God created love, wouldn't it be odd,

That in eternity, while we live above,

That God would take away our wondrous gift of love?
