Tacky Email

Welcome Friends and Visitors

Tacky Email

It's distasteful receiving a "tacky email" and I'm sure the majority of people feels the same way!!!

It's very annoying to have to get past all those email addresses when I'm trying to read an email that's been forwarded so many times. You could have up to twenty or more to get past and I dislike that!

I don't think it's fair to the people whose email address you're exposing to everyone, and certainly not appreciated by the person receiving it. Their's two ways to get rid of all that extra junk.

If you don't know how, this is what you do...

1) Before you forward an email, copy and paste the part you want into a new email, then send it.

2) Another way is to forward the email, then before sending it, delete out all the addresses, comments, etc. before you hit send.

It's considered "very TACKY" to forward everything, including the names and email addresses of everyone else who has received it.

I hope the tip was helpful!

Florence,

Thanks for the tip. I've also heard that marketers can harvest those email addresses that ae not removed and then send out lots of junk mail. I've been told to send out emails using the bcc feature to prevent the names from being seen by others.

Hello Florence,

I am in agreement with you and always BCC (blind carbon copy)
my emails to multiple recipients.
I reckon when you receive forwarded emails with all previous people
still on there is one of the ways we receive so much junk mail and
spam.  We have no clue who gets to read our email addresses
before we get them.

Here is a graphic I use from time to time in my emails, you might like
to use:
