Hi Sam,

Just happened by here and noticed the topic "Forgiveness" and I wanted to see what was going on.  Forgiveness is crucial and not an option for a Christian.  We are called to forgive others just as our heavenly father forgives us.

Neil's point is well taken too...we must forgive ourselves as well.

Lovely post.  Take care and blessings to you!

Cheryl :-)

I highly agree with the graphic.  Holding onto  "unforgiveness" is like harboring a deep dark secret.  It does not make sense to me to nurture negative energy ~ this robs one's present and future happiness.  Happiness is freedom.

Hello my friend Billdaddy and fellow Adlanders,

Billdaddy has just lighten my burden of over 6 months that I have been carrying and wondering how to manage it. To tell the truth, I have put together three separate articles on this issue for publication in this forum and discarded them all; I just didn’t know how to present the issue.

For the past 6 months or thereabout, there have been quite a few gray, if not outright black, areas in our community. We have seen or experience several cases of opinion attacks that culminated into personality attack and very ugly insults all over our forums.

Since then I have recorded 5 withdrawals of Articles submitted by members for publication in our AOV forum, all complaining of fear of attack by some members while others diplomatically turn down my request to write. I have also received mails from friends complaining of direct threats by supposed friends through phone calls. I found these quite disturbing but could not do much especially when I discovered that some of the members I ran to for their opinion were either in the same quagmire as me or were suggesting some outright reprisal.

I feel this can be an avenue to ride our dear community of all forms of hatred and negative perception of others. Let us find a place in our heart to forgive our fellow adland friends even if we find it hard to forget. Let us initiate the spirit of give and take, cultivate a larger heart with enough room to accommodate each and every one of us including our excesses in opinion.

We on one hand, need to imbibe the custom of criticising with respect, candor and due consideration and on the other hand, enough reservoir to accept and learn from such criticism.

I have visited and tested other social network sites including the big names in the net, but non is as unique as Adlandpro. You would all agree with me that what makes Adlandpro so thick apart from the very special way Bugdan organizes the community is the people that constitute the community. We need to live and work in harmony and true love. This, to the best of my mind, is possible if we pull our resources together and work as one people even though we come from different parts of the globe.

I wish to use this rare opportunity to appeal to all concerned members to heed this call initiated by William BillDaddy Vanderbilt, and join in this project of “FORGIVENESS FOR NEW BEGINNING” in our community.

On my own part I wish to equally call on every member who in one way or the other have perceived any form of offence from my person or forum to please forgive and accept me back as friend. I know of a very good friend that sent me a very awful message in reply to an invitation to my forum. In return, I had to remove her from my friend’s list. In keeping with this spirit of today, I am going to send her a re-invitation for friendship and I hope she’ll accept me back. I must add here that till date I do not know my offence and all efforts to get the reason then was rebuffed.

Thank you William for this initiative of love in our community. May we all strive to live in peace with love!

Compliments of the season to all of you!!
